Question about new website

Talk about anything that has to do with the amusement park industry here.
Postby RBull4life on April 22nd, 2005, 12:25 pm
I am been throwing around an idea in my head to start an on-line theme park./amusement park magazine sort of speak. It would be updated monthly with columns writen by regular staff members to share their love for amusement parks, along with an editorial page for anybody else who would like to share their opinion. I figured I would break it down into sections with several writers contributing to the follwing parks....

Six Flags parks
Cedar Fair parks
Disney parks
Misc parks
Rollercoasters

Writers would have to summit a story each month concerning the park brand that they have choose to write about. I am not sure as to how many writers to have for each park. Maybe have 5 writers cover each park brand. I am not sure how many, so an suggestions would be helpful.
Is this a good idea? Would anybody be interested in writing for this website? Before I dump money into a web hosting site, I would probably use like angelfire or something for a few months to see how it goes. Would I be wasting my time with this, or is this a good idea?
Thanks for your input

I'd say it would be a good idea, but unfortunatley I think that the internet it a little too full of rollercoaster and theme park fan websites.

You would have to offer something that the others don't. Think about that first then I would think about starting it.

That seems rough considering that how can you really write about a park each month. It's seem like too much. The best time to write about a park is right when it opens up the season because some things (at the park) might be different. It's quite interesting.

Speaking of websites, does anyone know of a SFStL site.
"I've been staring at the world, waiting. All the trouble and all the pain we're facing. Too much light to be livin' in the dark. Why waste time? We only got one life. Together we can be the CHANGE. So go and let your heart burn bright"

So maybe updating the site 3-4 months instead of monthly?

Well it would be about several parks, not just one. If you choose to write columns about Six Flags parks, and their rides, and coasters, it could be any Six Flags park, not just one in specific.
