Next summer there's a chance I'll be going to Busch Gardens Wiliamsburg. My family and I are going to visit my cousin and her family and my mom said there was plenty of things to do there. She then listed some of the things and Busch Gardens flew right into my ear. So I checked this little book I have and it said Busch Gardens Williamsburg and it listed the roller coasters: Loch Ness Monster, Apollo's Chariot, Alpengeist, Big Bad Wolf, and Wild Maus.
Also we are driving there and there's a slight chance we'll go to Cedar Point. Although if we did we would only go there for one day.
So what I'm asking is how do you rate BGW? How are the rides? (Well I already know about Loch Ness Monster, Alpengeist, and Apollo's Chariot so I'm really psyched to go there.) And how is the park itself?
Now for Cedar Point I really don't need anything. Seeing as I study it all the time. But feel free to give your views about it.
BGW is a beautiful park!!! Unlike the so-called theming you will find in a SF park, you will find a park with great theming, little to no blacktop, alot of trees etc and great food. And this all goes with a very good collection of excellant rides and excellant shows.
The park has a great atmosphere/ambience and it is enjoyable too just walk around the park and take it all in and the rides are a great bonus. They are suppossed to be opening a new attraction next year and in Apollo's Chariot/Alpenquist/Big Bad Wolf use have 3 different types of coasters that are some of the best coasters in each type of ride.
If only SFGAM could have some of the coasters we have in a setting like that dound in BGW, BGW is a great park and you should have a great time at the park as it has the best of all worlds when it comes to a theme park.
Alittle something to add, the new attraction for next year will be a dark ride of some type, if it is what I think it is, it will be worth riding.
Also the Wild Maus has been removed, it's now at BGT, so for coasters it's Alpengeist, Apollo's Chariot, Loch Ness Monster, and Big Bad Wolf.
Alpengeist really doesnt impress me a whole lot, but for the most part no B&M's do much for me.
Apollo- See Above
Loch Ness- for the most part standard Arrow Fare, has some unique elements and for the most part is fairly smooth, but I hate the small trains those older Arrow's run.
BBW- One of Arrow's Better suspended coasters. Quite alot of fun and worth a few rides.
Park itself is amazing, it can put any SF park to absolute shame, food is spectacular also, try stuff you normally wouldnt eat in an amusement park (like stay away from the burgers and hot dogs, and go for the Ravioli or some other uncommon park food instead)

I rode Wild Maus and it was crazy fun. But I liked The Fly at PCW better anyway. Don't set really high expectations for Alpengeist because I was really let down. It's still a great ride though. Also Apollo is a airtime machine so be prepared!
Wild Maus is now known as Cheetah Chase and is located at Busch Gardens Tampa. They removed it for an indoor attraction that is set to open next year. Specifics are not yet known, but rumors are going around that it will be an indoor roller coaster with neat special effects and stuff.
it is a Mack Wild Mouse (mirror image of the Maurer Soehne Mouse at SFKK), but it didnt have the final hill, Busch opted for a second straightaway instead, and all the brakes were on full strength, hands down the worst mouse I'd ridden in a long time (I passed on riding it at BGT). Went so slow.
