Wow, Paul Drabek has some great photos of the relocated Shuttle Looper that first made its home at SFGAm. The new paint job and theming is pretty cool.My baby is back up and running again. Cant wait to get down to SFKK this year to ride Tidal Wave errrrrr, I mean Greezed Lightnin again.http://www.negative-g.com/SFKK/SFKK2003 ... -Day-1.htm
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.
Thanks for the link. My only memory of it is looking at the loop above the bathrooms... I don't know if I rode it, was in line for it, or anything! I hope its new home treats it well and is there for many years (and if not, it has a homecoming.)
Well off to Kentucky I go.....just kidding, I wish. It looks awesome, I can't wait to finally ride Tidal Wave now that I have a third chance to do so. Hopefully ill be able to fit it in sometime this summer!

I would say , yes, it is worth a trip. They have 8 coasters which is a decent amount. Holiday World is only about an hour and a half away from SFKK which always gets high praise.Do both parks and you probably have a worthwhile trip on your hands.

Thats cool how they have the so called 'race car theme'. I just wich we would get it back. Like I dont care if its a parking lot coaster, I just want it back!
It's not how high or how fast you build the roller coaster it's how smooth you build it!
Holiday World, or Clone World Adventure (Shockwave, Batman, lol. Not really that many clones.) I know you're not asking me, but go for the high class wood. If you stop at SFKK too, then you just get a Schwarzkopf shuttle as an added bonus! Plus a giant B&M stand up.
Tidal Wave. Whoppee doo. No wonder why it's never stayed put. No one wants it. SFKK deserves it, because they don't have that many coasters (seven, rcdb says, not eight). Also, in case your wondering, I did ride it before BTR was in it's place.
I actually love Schwarzkopf shuttles .. I haven't rode SFGAm's Tidal Wave since it was in Gurnee. However, I have had many rides on Montezooma's Revenge and I still love it. Especially it's placement at Knott's.
I know the difference between Weight Drop and Flywheel launches, but don't ask me to tell you what I found to be the difference in the ride of them. I think the difference for the rider is negligible.

The ride was replaced by probably the two most popular rides of all time at their respective parks. First, Tidal Wave came out so SfGam could build Batman: The Ride and then at SfOG, Viper came out for Superman: Ultimate Flight.
I wouldn't say no one wanted it. I'm sure SfKK is as happy as ever.
Oh my god i guessed right. I love the vu has resurected another year and a half old topic. At least this one is a good one. The other topics that you brought back from the dead were about someone wanting to know if a ride would be open for 2003 or not. LOL im just kidding by the way no offense to you.
Hey! Tidal Wave is a kickass coaster. I have been on it like 15 times this year in my trips to SFKK, Dont hate it just because its not the tallest or fastest. Its still a great ride.
