yep , that is the question.. do you trust intamin ag after there recent problems with their coasters?.... i personally still have a little trust for them , but after each accident that they will or might have, my trust will slowly decline.
I still have respect for them and feel safe on their rides. But I think TTD is just turning into negative publicity the more accidents and problems that happen. Which is too bad.
Trust them? No, not at all. Safety wise Intamin rides are fine for the most part, my distrust comes mostly from quality issues and certain aspects of the inner workings of the company.
Favorite Wood Coasters: The Voyage, Ravine Flyer II, Thunderhead, Balder Favorite Steel: Voltron Nevera, Steel Vengeance, Expedition GeForce, Olympia Looping Parks visited: 232, Coasters Ridden: Steel: 894, Wood: 179, Total: 1073
Yes, I still have trust in them. Some people just despise the company, and will just say bad things about it. When I think of Intamin, they make me think of the S coaster company (It's hard to spell. They make the Whizzer, and Mind Bender.). The reason why is because of how the track is on both of those rides and I compare it to V2.
Anyway, the problem with the person falling out wasn't even the companies fault. With TTD, how many other rollercoaster companies have made a ride like that? Of course, there's no excuse for injuring people, but what can you do. For all the problems that you could have, I don't think V2, Roaring Rapids, Am E, GD, or Power Dive were big ones.
"I've been staring at the world, waiting. All the trouble and all the pain we're facing. Too much light to be livin' in the dark. Why waste time? We only got one life. Together we can be the CHANGE. So go and let your heart burn bright"
To have awesome coasters you have to take a lot of risks. I will always trust the safety of any company if the ride will be inspected and pass inspection. I ride coasters the right way and I have normal body proportions so I will always respect Intamin.

Swarzkopf? Hey I tried spelling it. I think a lot of people forget that Intamin built AE. It seems really PTC, but its not.

I dont trust them with any rides except the eagle.
I would agree with Galvan. The only thing that will change my mind about Intamin is time. Months or even years will have to pass before I start trusting their rides again. I am not the biggest V2 fan so it reallt does not hurt me there, but I do like Giant Drop.
The Eagles track record over the years speaks for itself. I will always trust AE until it proves me wrong.
I trust them. You got to look at what caused the problems. Most it is operator error, whether it be not checking restiants and seatbelts hard enough or allow oversized people to ride.
With TTD I don't think there is anything intimin can do about the cable. The force that is applied on that cable is enormous. You can always say we need a stronger cable, but with all the engineers over there, I bet they though of that. You can't just look at strength either, its got to be able to handle the forces very quickly it just doesn't ease into the launch.
For you people who don't trust them don't ride the rides and make the line shorter for me.
Plus I always check my restraint myself. Because I don't trust my life in the hands of a 18 year old operator.
And I will say intimin makes the best rides.
