I think many people on this site would know that the Mummy ride was put at both Universal Orlando and at Universal Hollywood. It could have have been put at other places, but who knows. Anyway, the rides they replaced at UO was King Kong, and UH it was E.T.
Sure rides must decease after a certain amount of time, but how can you take those out? Maybe, they thought, intstead of taking out the same one at each park, they would do what they did, so people would go to both.
I'm not hating the idea of a new rollercoaster, I'm just saying that they could have put it somewhere else. The Mummy were good in my opinion. Even though the last time I was there was awhile ago, King Kong had a crazy line, and E.T. was moderately packed at UO. Even though I never watched the King Kong, the ride in my opinion was very good.
So, do you have opinions about this?
"I've been staring at the world, waiting. All the trouble and all the pain we're facing. Too much light to be livin' in the dark. Why waste time? We only got one life. Together we can be the CHANGE. So go and let your heart burn bright"

It is a coaster, and a very good one to be exact. I got on it back in April during a soft opening, and it was not completed at the time. It is very good, and has awesome elements (not inversions, but special effects) in it like no other coaster. It is a launch coaster, goes both forwards and backwards, and is a dark coaster.
Universal Orlando Mechanical Engineer Marathon down, Goofy to go.
Mummy is a great attraction. I was sad to see Kong go in Florida, but happy to see E.T. stay. At least they kept the Florida version of E.T. in tact. Kong was unique and fun, but you never know where he might pop up next. Both attractions were classic Universal rides. At least they replaced a great ride with a great ride, unlike Disney.
Well I think the only reason anyone would not like kong was because of the part where the helicopter flashes that really bright light in your eyes. Also I'm very glad they didn't get rid of E.T. or Back To The Future. I love the smell of E.T. for some reason.
I want the sfgam survivor to be held every July and August.
That's very different that you like the E.T. smell. Well, I guess I like the Rainforest Cafe (restaurant) smell too. With a 100 million going to the Mummy, you would hope it would be good.
If they ever wanted to move it, why not put it where that stupid show/ride is at IOA. Water goes on the ceiling, and and this person talks to you about gods or something like that.
If you could remember, can you please tell me what were some of the special effects? Also, what does it do? I know it goes backwards and forwards, but does it just have bunny hops, or just straight aways?

You know what ride they really should have gotten rid of...... Jaws, they could have gotten rid of the water and put a building there but of course that would cost way more money and more time so I understand why they chose an indoor ride. I don't know exactly why but I really hate the Jaws ride.
Jaws is a Universal classic. I love that ride. It is like the Jungle Cruise, but with explosions. The movie is one of the all time classics and the ride is great to do with someone who has never do it before. You really can not tell when the shark will jump out of the water.
You guys have to remember that Universal is really hemmed in land-wise. There isn't anywhere else to expand. And any land that could be purchased next door already has development on it. So it was 2 choices. Not get anything new and stay stagnant, or replace something.
