Be Greatful It's Six Flags Not Paramount's Great America!

I was never sure if Great "America" meant USA or America in general. Because of Yukon Territory, I thought it meant north/south America. But then again, there are no south American-themed areas. Perhaps one is to come? Well, there is Columbia Carousel and Southwest Territory could be Mexico. Then again, maybe not.

I'm not sure what year it was I believe around 1983 when Marriott was going to sellthe park too developers. If not for The City Of Santa Clara taking over management, which later was given to KECO the park would be gone.

Doesn't the Yukon run through Alaska? So they it would be considered part of "America".

^ I'm not sure if they got that technical. I think you guys are taking the name a bit too literal. Its just a name.

Not sure if thats quite what they were thinking, but you pretty much just answered your own question there.
