What are everyone's favorite off season activities? I think I might check out Safari Land at least once to see if it's decent. It looks like it might be alright. Go Bananas doesn't look as good. It would be too far of a ride but Nickelodeon Universe in Mall of America looks really fun. Indoor Water parks look good: Keylime Cove and Mayan Adventure.
Jim Myan Adventure and the accompanying hotel is closed. Safari land might not be bad I have never been. Go Bananas used to be Jeepers (food fun and a monkey). It was great back when you were 4-10 maybe if a major ride person 11 or 12 but unfortunately for us adults it just doesnt pack any thrills. You might be better off making the 3 hour trek north and going to Kalahari in Wisconsin Dells. If you are after more water parks then head to the Wilderness resort (rooms on sale now). Chula vista has a small indoor waterpark as well. Great Wolf is smaller than the aforementioned 3 resorts but also has an indoor waterpark. Finally there is the Polynesian but this is the smallest with one tube slide one body slide and a dark lazy river ride think Pirates of The Carribbean in 3 minutes in an inner tube. MOA looks like it would most certainly be a good time. I think it would be awesome to go during Christmas but that might be more headaches than its worth.
Anytime. Thinking back I really wish Disney Quest, The Jekyl and Hyde Cafe, and Espn Zone were still around I never was at the cafe but Disney Quest Was Great and the Zone wasnt too bad either. Man I really remember having to beg to go to Disney Quest, I miss it.
I do the same as Justin. Right now I'm planning a big road trip for 2014 going to the East Coast and ending at King's Island.
"Everyone, listen to me! These jerks killed Superboy. They've tried to kill us. Now they say they're going to tear this city apart. I say... like hell."
I went to Safari Land for the first time. It actually wasnt bad. The coaster and the sim were more intense than I expected and I am a fan of Tilt-a-Whirl. I was a little sore in the morning though.
Yeah, it's a cool place to visit especially during the winter. They have a nice collection of rides, games, a full service restaurant, full bar , and bowling alley.
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.
It seems like the other side always wins on American Eagle Also, I've ridden Goliath 23 times in one day. HBU? (Sorry in advance for unnecessary commas and parenthesis every where)
I follow hockey and the Blackhawks in the off season. I also plan to travel to other arenas when the Hawks are on the road. Next season, I'm planning a trip to see the Hawks play in Edmonton and Calgary when they're on the circus trip. Since I'll be in Edmonton, I'll also go to the West Edmonton Mall and get the credits on the coasters out there. I don't have anything on that confirmed since I need to wait until the 2014-15 NHL schedule comes out.
I also have a full time job, so I don't travel as much as I'd like. Park trips tend to be more spur of the moment for me, like maybe a few weeks, not a whole season.
As for making plans for this season, I'm honestly not sure yet. I may try to go to Canada's Wonderland in the summer. I just got a passport and I'm itching to use it. I may also make trips to Cedar Point, Kings Island, as well as SFGAm. The only thing I know for certain is that I'll be in Branson for Silver Dollar City in late March.
Well, I work. But I also go to school. I will also play video games, draw, watch movies and TV. I tend to do a coaster hybernation during the off season. Sometimes I will look at old SFGAm photos, maps, and brochures too. I got a lot of those. The closer we get to opening day, the more excited I get. 5-3-14 isn't too far away. I'm excited!
Skiing is better then riding a rollercoaster. With all of the hills, it's pretty much a roller coaster you control. It's fun to fly through trees and get airtime on giant hills.
Indoor rock climbing. I climb outdoors during the summer too.
Winter camping. With the right clothing you will never be cold. Was only able to get to one National Park in Colorado this winter though. Tons of places up north in WI though.
Spring Kayaking. The rivers get very swift when the snow melts.
