In January 2012, the Spokane Journal of Business in Spokane, Washington conducted an interview with Rocky Mountain Construction Group Inc., the construction company responsible for the renovation of Texas Giant at Six Flags Over Texas in 2011. In the interview, it was stated that Rattler would be completely refurbished in 2013 with new track and trains in a manner similar to that used on Texas Giant.

not sure if im late on this one or who has heard it. I got this off the wiki page for it a lil while ago. I rode this roller coaster the first year it was built before the mods were done to it and it was one hell of a ride. It was very fun and not that violent. Although i am sure that is to it being new.

Anyways imho it is very sad they have to take one of the best wooden coasters in the world and do the ole texas giant to it. Makes me sad others happy im sure.

I don't think it will happen. It might, and I wouldn't mind if they did, but I rode Rattler in May 2011, and I didn't find it to be that bad. And they just retracked the whole turn around, which was the death part of the ride, and now it's fairly smooth.

The ending of the ride, though, is just amazing.
