This seems like a good topic as opinions tend to be split. Mine is close between TTD and Maverick, but i'll give Maverick the edge. While Dragster is a great ride, TTD and Kingda Ka lost some standing with me after riding Xcelerator, which has a shorter launch track and seems to be a more intense ride with much better airtime. Maverick has everything you could want on a great steel coaster: intense, nice air, sweet laterals, beyond 90 degree drop, cool inversions, and a great launch in the middle of the ride leading to a fast paced 2nd half.

Maverick... Magnum XL and Disaster Transport are also up there. Dragster is extremely overrated, not enough ride to justify the wait.

Its tough between Maverick and MF, but I would have to go with MF. The fast, super steep lift right along the lake, and the huge drop and super over banked turns push it over the edge for me.

Maverick is right there at 2, with TTD behind it. Magnum could be up there if it didn't bust my body in the mini helix and bunny hills at the end of the ride.

MF for me. Although many consider it to be overatted, this ride never gets old to me.

I'm going old school with Magnum, especially at night, and it's violence is half the fun :)

I'd say Raptor is a close second followed by Maverick, MF then it all sorta jumbles together.

And for TTD, you gotta know when to go to ride it, Sundays early in October I rarely see it with more than a 10-15 min wait, and occasionally it will be walk-on, of course with no break-downs. It's a good ride for a sub 20min wait. Way to short and one-trick of a ride to justify anything over a half hour imho.

Maverick gets my vote. A coaster not listed but a ton of fun is Wildcat.

Can someone explain to me the love of Disaster Transport? It seems like a giant inside joke I'm not in on. I thought the ride was trash.

I don't think it belongs at a destination theme park, but I enjoyed it... in an odd "I like corny 80s sci-fi rides" kind of way.

As you started the topic with, my opinion is def split.

Maverick is my favorite rollercoaster at CP in terms of havin everything (as mentioned) in a coaster I could ask for. However, I worked on Millennium Force for two seasons & havin/choosing to ride that coaster everyday for months in a row.... I know every feel that coaster gives. I sometimes just close my eyes & enjoy the rush it offers. I in no way, think MF is one of the best coasters made as Stormrunner, Bizarro, Cyclone(NY/NE), AE, etc are better coasters in my opinion but its just MF is a coaster I get tickly over & just know.

5. Magnum

Cedar Point is amazing! I'd have to say TTD is the best ride there, even though its really short all the intensity makes up for it.

Why the hell isn't Mean Streak listed?

Voted for Magnum. Love the airtime, love the ejector seat, and most importantly it doesn't get old. Every other ride at the park does.

Magnum for the win! There wasn't a week this summer where I didn't ride it at least 10-15 times. I agree, the ride does not get old...in fact it actually gets better the more your ride it. I didn't appreciate the ride until this summer. Best ride I ever had on it was in the rain with the trims off, all soak city lights off (power in that section of the park was out that night), and drunk. It was a pitch black, out of control, crazy experience.

I have a sentimental favorite in Iron Dragon. Of those listed, probably Magnum XL 200, which was a bit painful while it was sprinkling. Maverick and Disaster Transport were not running when we went and we did not ride Mantis or Wicked Twister.

How about a vote for least favorite? Mean Streak, I had my sunglasses in my cargo shorts pockets that ended up digging into my leg, the front of my thighs probably had bruises from the short little hills and my internal organs felt all jumbled around. I would ride Xcalibur again and get motion sickness for the next day, instead of riding that coaster again.

5.Mantis
4.Millenium Force
3.Mean Streak (with the new track) :)
2.TTD
1.Maverick
The only reason Mean Streak is in my top 5 is because im a sucker for woodies.

Maverick may just be my #1 ride. Right up there with X2, Nitro, El Toro, and Apocolypse. (No Particular Order)

Having everyone talk about Maverick makes me wish it was running when we were there, plus I think the only reason we rode Mean Streak is because Maverick was down.

MS was not that bad of a ride. Airtime was nonexstient but the shakeness made it fun. Defintily wouldn't want it at our park but it still wasn't that bad

My top 5

1. TTD
2. Gemini
3. Raptor
4. Blue Streak
5. Mantis

The rest I care for are Wicked Twister (but I like V2 better), Wildcat, and Corkscrew. The rest I don't like. Worst one to me is Maverick.
