Zippin Pippin looking like a coaster now.

Talk about anything that has to do with the amusement park industry here.

I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.

It is looking pretty sweet. But I haven't heard what kind of rolling stock it's going to feature. I know the original Zippin Pippin cars were bought by a private collector. Anyone someone local has heard what they are getting, my guess would be either a set of used PTC's from somewhere or Timberliners since Gravity Group is overseeing this project, I'm hoping for the former.

According to Duane's site (rcdb), it will have 2 PTC trains. He has a note on the bottom of where the trains are coming from since they are used.

Nice, almost new 3 bench PTC's.

I wonder if thunder eagle was as bad as people said it was. Missed it by a year in TN, though it only operated for about a year.

It looks like the ride is going to be structurally complete by the end of the year, if not by X-mas.

Opening has been delayed by 2 weeks to May 21st. Kind of suprising considering it tested yesterday. I guess I'm used to Six Flags construction where its considered ahead of schedule if testing starts more than a few days before opening

I will head up to the land of simpletons and cheese for a ride or 3 probably on one of the first weekdays they are open (wed-fri). I would wait til later in the season and let it warm up good, but I'd like to hit #700 in Denmark, and as of right now I'd fall a few coasters short, so I need all I can get.

THE ZIPPIN PIPPIN OPENS TOMORROW!!!!!! Weather says it's supposed to rain all day, not sure if Bay Beach will close the ride all together tomorrow. That would suck. But either way, PICS WILL BE TAKEN!! HOOORAH!

I seen a few people from the forums there. Fun little ride, and it's within walking distance from my house. :D
