Eh, I prefer wooden rollercoasters that give big airtime not so much twisted. But I do really like the way it's built into the hilly terrain near the forest, and I also like the bank angle on http://www.greatcoasters.com/image/017_17.JPG. WOW! I would love to take a turn like that!

GCIs aren't all about airtime. I myself am a huge airtime fan but GCI's out-of-control feeling is excellent.

Perhaps I need to ride one of these types of rollercoasters. Are any of the wooden coasters at SFStl GCI's? I rode one of their twisters and it was all about curves and crazyness. I did miss the airtime. It was rougher than anything I've ever ridden though (maybe more like wooden coasters should be).

If you ask me, there is no replacement for airtime. :D

You refer to the Boss most likely which is CCI. My 2nd favorite woodie, actually. It was running much smoother last time I rode. For a while there it was extremely severe.

As far as "No replacement for airtime" did you ride Shivering Timbers in it's prime? Because GOOD GOD. I like a good mix, and that's why Legend is my number one coaster. Boss has some nice air spots too, BTW. Maybe you didn't sit in the right seat?

Unfourtunatly, I haven't been able to ride either of thoes wooden rollercoasters that you speak of. Outside of Great America I've only been on the Boss for wooden coasters, and the boss rattled my sunglasses (tigh fitting oaklies that dont fall off on V2) off my head and really bruised my knees up. Quite a rough ride. I was in the middle if that mattered.

If you thought the Boss was rough ride SOB. I still have bruises on my knees from it. It really was a son of a b****. Sorry a little of topic.

If you don't like rough woodies, NEVER go on Psyclone at SFMM and i mean never. Not even worth the five minute wait>
Waiting to fill this space with something stupid to say!

I highly agree with the above statement. I had heard so much about Psyclone being a rough coaster before I rode it. I could have never guessed how rough it turned out to be, it makes Mean Streak and Raging Wolf Bob's seem like they were smooth.
