I guess everyone who thought that they were gonna get a rollercoaster is our of the running. As for me I dont think that I would get on this ride I get paranoid going on the Condor at Six Flags (I always think that the cage will detatch from the main ride unit). I think I would have a panic attack if the thing got stuck at the top.
^ I would imagine they would want to have open and ready for the public to ride by opening day. Isn't that pretty much every park's goal to have their new attractions open in time for when the season starts?
Wow. It's kind of funny - I first even noticed that these rides existed a few weeks ago, there's one across the highway from Universal Studios Florida.

That's how every park should view next year's attraction. CF almost always gets started early enough on their capital investments so that their new attractions SHOULD be ready by opening day (of course, even if you give Intamin extra time, they will usually find a way to screw something up and missing opening day).
However, other parks, such as SFGAm, for example, don't at all care about getting a ride open/ready for opening day. That, to me, is not a good way to go about doing things - not at all.
It is pretty surprising that they bought the same ride for four of their parks. No change in assortment this year!
I bet they got some good deal for buying four of them at the same time.
Regarding the one near Universal Studios - that is probably the one that Cedar Fair went to look at from the competitor that said they would sue Cedar Fair if they bought from the company they did.
"I've been staring at the world, waiting. All the trouble and all the pain we're facing. Too much light to be livin' in the dark. Why waste time? We only got one life. Together we can be the CHANGE. So go and let your heart burn bright"
Anyways, I think this is a really good addition to CP. I'm kind of glad they didn't go in and add another coaster...to me it shows they're dedicated to adding a variety of rides, and aren't just going for a title.
I've personally never seen a ride like this before the announcement, (I've been kind of out of the loop lately), but it seems like it'd be a lot of fun.
This still surprises me that not only did all these parks get the same attraction model, but the same stats, & colors too! CF is alittle better with individuality but to be complete clones throughout the chain is quite surprising. Intimidators now /windseekers! It bothers me as well knowing the names arent unique as it is the model name, like namin a vekoma boomerang, "BOOMERANG"! haha
I'm shocked CP didnt get the "tallest/biggest" one of the four, but nonetheless these (esp.CPs) will be great additions with a new experience & view for each park.
Wow. I too get paranoid on rides like this, condor especially. The swings at Indiana Beach freak me out somewhat so these certainly will. Does that mean I'm not gonna ride it? Hell no! This looks awesome!

I wouldn't say that at all about Cedar Fair. Cedar Fair's goal is to make every park identical to each other. Six Flags has always been top for individuality and character. Even though they sometimes get similar rides, each one has it's own character at least.
Cedar Fair just clears flat land, slaps on a generic sign, adds 2 uncovered plain sections of switch backs, and uses the same paint scheme for a similar ride at another park.
I absolutely agree with you actually! I'm simply sayin in the name game, they seem to have more individuality. But park wise, DEF not...all their parks do have that same feel of generic amusement park... KI is my favorite of the ones I've been to(CP, KI, KD, DP) but even the others I haven't, look the same.
Now though CF uses unique names, I agree yet again, they use a familiar color scheme throughout their parks... Raptor/Hydra, Diamondback/Maverick, CarolinaCobra/Xcelerator, Corkscrew(s), TopthrillDragster/Intimidator305 etc
But then again, SF does this too more so cause of clones especially.
