Top Waterparks by Aquatics International

Talk about anything that has to do with the amusement park industry here.

For waterparks outdoors (private)

1. Typhoon Lagoon
2. Blizzard Beach
3. Wet N Wild
4. Schlitterhbahn in Texas
5. Aquatica which is a waterpark that is near Sea World Orlando

Top Publicly Owned Waterparks
Well, I won't list them all, but Deep River Waterpark in Indiana is in this list at #3 along with Magic Waters at #4 near Rockford, IL.

For top resorts:

1. Great Wolf Lodge Pennsylvania
2. The Great Escape Waterpark Six Flags at the hotel
3. Kalahari in Ohio
4. Coco Key in New Jersey
5. Silver Mountain Resort in Idaho

I guess the thing I'm surprised about this is that nothing won twice such as the Kalahari in Wisconsin Dells, and the one in Ohio. Maybe, the one at Wisconsin Dells is bad. I don't know??

Do I trust this list? Yeah, pretty much. Except for the fact that there is no Noah's Ark in the top 5, these just seem like top waterparks to people. I don't care for Blizzard Beach, but it is themed quite well.

Well, it's publicly owned, and you know how many publicy owned places are places just like your pool along with 1 or 2 waterslides, and maybe a diving board, so that's what a lot of places it's competing with. Maybe, there are a lot more publicly bigger place like Magic Waters, and Deep River Waterpark out there, but I don't know what there names are, and where they are located.

Magic Waters has a wavepool, 2 open tube slides, 2 closed tube slides, I think it's 3 body slides (It might be more), a mini Tornado, a Water Coaster, and a Lazy River. Plus they have a "skull island" type of thing, another kiddie mini area. That's on the same level in my opinion as Hurricane Harbor, but it's part of the park district type of thing instead of being privately owned.

Wilderness in Wisconsin Dells should be on there over Kalahari in Wisconsin Dells it is far superior. I've been to Kalahari in Ohio a few years ago before they added everything, all that was there was a few slides, the water coaster and the surfing thing, it was pretty decent though.

Magic Waters has turned into a nice little park over the last couple of years. Really it was the emergence of the coaster that vaulted it upward and allowed them to do more things. It was one of the first water coasters in the country and maybe the first one in the Midwest and it's still a huge hit. Allowed them to do some much needed cleaning and add more attractions at a greater rate.

Just being around it all my life it's pretty crazy to see that park become nationally recognized as one of the better parks in the country. They have room to grow, too, but I don't think they have anything planned for a little while. They could use a family raft ride.

Lost Island is a nice, charming little water park. There new watercoaster has extreme air for a slide.
