Talk about anything that has to do with the amusement park industry here.

^Tear it down. However, I foresee the ride SBNO for a while as it will cost a ton to tear it down.

A not so good rumor floated my way this week regarding the fate of Son of Beast. According to the source, Cedar Fair officials are said to have weighed their options on fixing the coaster against the cost and benefits of doing so and the view wasn’t good at all. While it certainly may be possible to fix and make the ride enjoyable, the cost involved as well as the cost of the PR campaign needed to turn around the notoriously bad reputation of the ride was deemed to be cost prohibitive. If true, we will likely never seen SOB ride again

Why does it seem that people always want a dive machine? I've never ridden one, but I have a gut feeling their overrated.

I love them. Sheikra is way to short but a longer one would be amazing. Easily my favorite ride model.
There smooth
There cool
There fun as hell.

You either love dive machines or think they are nothing special. I thought we would have gotten one by now as screamscape has reported it since 2007 but here we are. That's screamscape for you. Son of the Beast looks like a sick ride. Too bad I will never get on it in my life.

Hasn't Son of Beast cost the park now 20 million dollars, they won't keep it. I would love to ride it because it seems really interesting and large, first and only wooden hyper coaster. I don't know why everyone hates Mean Streak. I thought it was pretty good, I mean it doesn't really have a lot of airtime but its nice. The only thing that dissapointed me is the speed it feels like it should go a lot faster, like American Eagle is not nearly as tall but goes the same speed and is personally better. If they did tear it down, which they will, they would probs build a itamin or GCI thats not nearly as tall, but a lot more twisted like voyage.
"Park staff later claimed that they were offered a hundred bucks a pop to try to the slide, but refused after seeing that test dummies often emerged on the other end dismembered. The looping slide was actually closed down for most of the park’s life due to these injury concerns."

It will be SBNO for another 1-3 years I predict. Massive amount of space. Cedar Fair spent about 50 million this year alone on 2 parks. 2.
