A sad sight at Busch Gardens Africa.

Talk about anything that has to do with the amusement park industry here.

I just visited BGA this weekend in almost 9 months.

We all know that the hospitality house with free beer samples is gone, but what made it worse was the removal of all those glass cases showcasing the history of Anheiser-Busch, the beverages they make, and the ingredients on how it's made along with their conservation and recycling efforts.

They opened up the old hospitality house today (which is now called Garden Gate Cafe), and they stripped it of all history of Anheiser-Busch. They even removed the flat screen TV's showing commercials of their beers from the past.

They even removed the TV's from the Clydesdale stables showing the commercials with the horses in them. Even Sprint the donkey is gone.

I know InBev is trying to sell these parks without the stigma of being related to alcohol, but to me, it's just sad. Busch put this park and the one in Virginia on the map.

Oh well, a tradition is now gone.
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.

Amazing how fast the park took everything down. I don't drink, but the houses were a part of every trip there. Hope the park can regain it's glory once InBev sells the parks.

Regain its glory? All its lost is the hospitality house, and those are definitley not coming back when Inbev sells the parks. I think its crazy Inbev is trying to get rid of the parks especially at such a low price, some of the Busch parks are among the most profitable in the world.

There is something about the hospitality house going that just ruins part of the park to me. I went there many times during my childhood on my yearly trips to FL and it was always a neat place to see.

I agree InBev is insane for selling the parks. Any company that has a profile part of the business, which has been that way for many years, and wants to dump it is stupid. The parks are well kept, well known and have great management. It is not like they ended up with parks like Six Flags America or Cypress Gardens.
