I know I've been posting a lot of topics but I've been wanting to post this for a long time now. If you owned a theme park what would it be called, what kind of coasters would it have, how many rides, and tell me what you would do to your park like themed areas or something. Mine would be called TY's World and have these themed areas...
1. Grand Entrance
2. Mains Street My last name is Mains so insted of Main St.
3. Ty's Street
4. Launch City With all launch rides/coasters
5. Water World Water park
6. TY's Town
7. TY's City
8. Wild West City
9. Go-Kart Plaza
Coasters.... Tallest 1.Jaguar 2. The King 3 TUSM (The Ultimate Scream Machine)

Top 3 Wood Coasters: 1. The Beast 2. American Eagle (Red) 3. Hades
Well, a while back ago, i designed a park with four main sections:
A waterpark where each ride was themed around an occupation (it all started when i looked at a factory and thought it would be cool to have some waterslides coming out of the smoke stacks, lol).
A section with rides themed around movies (my version of Universal Studios) with rides like Willy Wonka's Chocolate River (splashwater falls), Amityville Horror (Mummy style coaster), Polar Express mine train coaster (if anyone has seen the new version, it's TOTALLY one giant mine ride coaster), and more...
The third section was themed around food with rides like the Lucky Charms Shooting Star (similar to the commercial), Twizzler (v2), and a kiddy section themed like the Candyland gameboard.
The final section was a music section (my version of the new Hard Rock Park). Some of my rides were Green Day's Time of Your life (an indoor coaster that i timed and themed towards their song Letterbomb!), Aerosmith's Love in an Elevator (Tower of Terror), Nsync: No Floors Attached (Dueling floorless), and many more..
I enjoy adding on to the park each year with my new favorite bands and movies, it's a cool way to keep the imagination flowing and a good way to journal some of my interests (although the food section seems to have stopped adding on)
RIP: Trailblazer and Deja Vu...heck, even Alien Encounter
^
All those are good ideas! And I always wanted to make a waterpark resort onto my park that was mechanical themed like a factory. Funny you said that about your waterpark too.

I would want a classy name, not a name after me. I would have the park under Busch ownership. I would want gardens, ponds and well kept grounds. Beautiful fountains, and old classic looking shops along a brick "main street" kinda walkway. I would like a classic city like candy shop almost like TRUDYS in hometown sq. but better. Get the feel im goin for?...nice and classic. Since its Busch managment there would be animals. But if Id want it here in Illinois, I would NOT have it be any safari or Marine wildlife...simply Farm like so they would be used to the weather conditions, not having them truly adjust. Id want a park that even grandparents could enjoy by taking leisurly strolls throughout and still enjoy themselves.
I couldnt really tell you what I'd have in it because technology is always changing. In this day in age, if I were to open now to a year, this is how I would start off....
Id have a classic woodie clone such as Viper[cyclone], A "new age" woodie custom GCI all twisted & fun, An Inverted custom B&M, A vekoma kiddie clone of SSRockets or Woodstock express, a B&M dive machine custom, and an Intamin Halfpipe. Six coasters that everyone can enjoy to start and keep for a few years.
In years to come id gradually advance to a custom Hyper, a giga and of course a double twisting strata.
As far as rides go...carnival like rides. A chair swing, Tilt-a-whirl, Teacups, and Chute the chutes and a ferris wheel. A tunnel of love & a fun house for the littles. For more thrill Id like an S&S giant swing, An intamin gyro drop, and a giant outside pendelum ride like Maxair. You definatley need a carousel too...
I think it would be nice to gradually advance instead of suddenly trying to come out on top. A great park has years of History. Its not all about records all the time.
Yeah, I get what you mean. That's how I kinda wanted to start of my park to with classic rides/coasters first then move on to the next level of rides/coasters. In my park I would have a total of 32 coasters and only a few flats making it the largest thrill park in the world! It won't be that much for everything including the resort park, waterpark, and a challenge park kinda thing. It will only cost me for everything just only about A FEW BILLION DOLLARS!!!!!!! But if I start out slow then move on I should be ok with a total of 2 kids coasters. I want to be a roller coaster engineer/designer first and design my own coasters for my park and start off having a very tiny park and expand later. That's why I want to buy a little area of about under 100 acres first then expand in that are later unless it gets bought out. Maybe I'll just buy the whole thing but don't use it all until I need it. Speaking about parks and waterparks, has anybody go or live in the range of 50 minutes from Magic Waters in Cherry Valley Il. I live about 25 minutes from Rockford Il. which in Southern Rockford is the same thing in as Cherry Valley Il. where Golf N Games is with Tidal Wave. I never got to rode Tidal Wave because the whole place closed down and tells us to go to Volcano Falls Minigolf. Never go to Magic Waters because yeah they have a 90' dinghy or how ever you spell it because it's early in the morning and I'm to tired to think right now. just want to know if anybody lives close to me or Rockford Il.
MOD Edit, when replying to a post above yours, just use the "^" instead of quoting the entire quote. It makes things more difficult to read.

In July of this year, A Friend asked me what I thought Disney would do If they bought Six Flags Great America. and I was surprised how fast things started rolling off my tongue. Without thinking I said They'd take down Shuttle, Orbit, Hometown Park, Ricochet, Giant Drop, Deja Vu, Splash, Dive, Wolf, Camp, Flumes, V2, East River Crawler, Ragin' Cajun, Jesters, and Chaos. I said we'd get A few D-Tickets and an E-Ticket, They'd buy oodles of land around hte park, build a second park across the street, Buy Key Lime Cove, and Build A Boardwalk/Pleasure Island style entertainment district to go with it, and build two or three more hotels.
Since This happened, I've put way too much thought as to what they would do across the street in that park. I'm even designing a Christmas event for it right now. So Here's what I would do.
I haven't decided on a name for the park yet. But I was thinking about Great America, and Since we live in America, We've all seen it already. So the park across the street is all about what we haven't seen. It's about reaching uncharted territory, reaching for the stars, and remembering that no dream is out of reach. (Sappy, I know, But It's supposed to be Disney). So, In keeping with the idea of going where we haven't been, we would enter through an American Town. Specifically a Martha's Vineyard style town of Liberty Port, The Mainstreet of this park, lined with shops and more. At the end of Liberty Port Lies the central hub, and the Icon of the park, Star Mountain. Star Mountain is just what it sounds like, a Mountain covered in stars. Five stars are bigger than the others. Inside these stars are color changable lights, with the allowance to turn colors thorughout the day, and the fireworks show at night "Symphony in the Stars" Hundreds of small stars made of LEDs would be able to spell out the name of the song heard during the nightly fireworks show.
Five paths are available once you reach the central hub. Africa, Planet Star Wars, Wonderland, The Mysterious Island, and Asia.
Take the Path into Asia and at the end of a long broken Road rises the Forbidden mountain. Home of the Expedition Everest Roller coaster. Entering the Nepalese kingdom of Anandapur, the right side of the street is covered in the Freedom Ruins, a broken stone castle, now taken up by local merchants to become a marketplace. On the left side, Is an amphitheatre, with an animal show inside. I haven't decided what to call it yet. At the end of the street is a massive U-Turn, making it's way around the Yak and Yeti Restaurant. As we begin to journey back to civilization, the road starts to get paved as you pass the Royal Anandapur Tea Company, and Anandapur Ice Cream, and pass into a Large Japanese City. Stores line the streets as large facades of giant skyscrapers dot the sky. This section is home to a large indoor theatre, home to "Finding Nemo: The Musical"
Cross the bridge and find yourself on the Mysterious Island. A Rounded Island with a Giant Volcano in the Center, and a myserious Blue Building Tucked away behind it. Inside the mountain is the EMV attraction "Journey to the Center of the Earth" Journey past strange creatures, lava, and other strange thing as you journey with a team to the center of the earth. Around the Island, several rock formations jutting out the volcano serve as retail and restaurant space. On the outer edge of the island is Castle d'Atlantis. A large blue almost Oz-Like building holding insde two small upscale stores, and Ariel's Grotto. Room in the back of the building is reserved for a future attraction.
All around the island is several fountains and also water screens are placed for the Nighttime Spectacular "The Wonderful World of Color" a re-tooled version of the show coming to DCA.
Crossing another bridge into Wonderland the sorcerer's hat on the right is home to a special place to meet mickey, just passed that is Maestro Mickey's a Store, and Mickey's Philharmagic, a clone of the 3-D adventure from the Magic Kingdom. Around the edges of Wonderland, there are several Retail and Restaurant Spaces include "Chef Gusteau's" "Mrs. Pott's Cupboard" "Chip n Dales" and more. Smack dab in the middle are two Fantasy Adventure Rides "Peter Pan's Flight" and "Ratatouille: Lights of Paris" Just before crossing the bridge is the magnificent "Tale as old as Time Ballroom" A Huge indoor theatre with a musical show based on "Enchanted"
From the central hub, you get to Wonderland through Star Mountain, coming out the other side desposits you into "Wonderland Garden" full of topiaries and character greeting areas. Directly in front of you is "Chateau Princess" Home to several attractions themed to Disney Princesses. Immeadiatly upon entering is "Jasmine's Magic Carpet Ride" the same as Aladdin's in Florida, and Cinderella's Goldan Carriage Ride, a journy to happily ever after. Directly in front of you is "Snow White's Storybook Adventure." An exciting "Light-Ride" where every time you turn the page you are taken to a different Disney Princess Adventure. From the moment where The Snow Witch offers Snow White a poison apple, to Mulan Facing off against Shan-Yu, to the First Time Aurora and Philip Danced.
The Castle also serves as the beginning and end of a retooled version of "The Disney Dreams Come True Parade" It begins with the Fairy Godmother on a giant boat, offering to sail you away to a land where dreams com true. Other Floats include "Undersea Dreams" A float themed to characters from The Little Mermaid, and Finding Nemo. "Dreams Transcend Time" A Giant Clock Tower themed to just it's title. and of course "Villainous Dreams" Showcasic Queen Narissa from Enchanted, and many of the other Disney Villains.
Again, across the bridge is Planet Star Wars, the Centerpiece of this land is a giant replica of the Death Star. Inside Is a veritable museum of Science Fiction Memorabilia, As well as a bar, a Store, and an attraction called X-Wing Blasters. An Almost bumper car style ride, where you shoot large basketballs at your fellow bumper cars in order to make them spin and lose their concentration, you are scored based on how many times your balls hit other cars. Around the square is tatooine based store "Tatooine Traders" and a large replica of Jabba the Hut's Vessel with a restaurant "Jabba's" Inside.
The second large E-Ticket comes in the form of "The Star Wars Pod Racers" A Test Track Like Attraction taking you through the design phase of a pod racer, as well as various star wars Characters and Locations, before the finale of an actual Pod Race with you at the helm.
The Final Land is Africa, Divided into Two sections like Asia. First the Forest Village of Harambe, and then an as-yet unnamed Egyptian Village. Harambe is home to several retail and restaurant spaces as well as a large theatre, hosting a stunt show themed to the upcoming Disney Film "Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time." Behind many of hte stores is a character greeting trail with Characters from The Jungle Book, the Lion King, and other classic Characters. Severl Lion king characters are puppets, with puppeteers speaking and moving for them unseen. The Mombasa Marketplace serves as the barrier between hte two towns, and entering the Egyptian City, it's easy to see why a town developed here. Towering over the city is a giant pyramid. Inside is another D-Ticket attraction "Curse of the Pyramid" and Interactive dark ride that takes you on an archeological dig that, in pure Disney Fasion, Goes Horribly wrong. Across the Street is "The Lion King: Journey to Shadowland" A dark ride that I'm still working out the kinks on themed to Pride Rock while Simba was away, and ending with Simba Returning and Defeating Scar.
So that's the basic Idea.
Captain, don't shake the passengers up too much this time! Just giving them their money's worth!
Yes, disney Did plan on building a park called Disney's America, However that is ancient History. What I'm saying is not a rumor at all, it is completly utterly fanciful, just something i've been doing to pass the time.
