After my friends first trip to Cedar point, she feels we must tackle Great adventure in Jersey. & honestly....I agree. No but we are planning for the 13th of October so, Im simply asking how it is and what not.
Well, i've never been there before, but i've heard it's farely decent. Obviously El Toro is an AMAZING woodie from it's Top 5 ranking! Nitro is Raging Bull with an out and back layout so that's gotta be (and it's ranked) incredible. However, I have a close friend from Phili and she said that the park is pretty dirty and not worth skipping Dorney Park and Hersheypark for, however, what in New Jersey ISN'T dirty?!
RIP: Trailblazer and Deja Vu...heck, even Alien Encounter
Yeah that's the whole reason I can't go is because my dad says New Jersey is full of sick, nasty, dirty, cruel people. He also says it's full of terrorist (to lazy to spell right) and they're going to do something to Kingda Ka and it's gonna fly off the track! Well ofcourse it's a bad are right next to New York in that area.
Top 3 Steel Coasters: 1. The Incredible Hulk 2. Maverick 3. Dragon Challenge (Fireball)
Top 3 Wood Coasters: 1. The Beast 2. American Eagle (Red) 3. Hades
SFGAdv is a great park. I was there in August and I don't have a bad thing to say about the park or my experience. The ride operations were great, the park was clean, the landscaping is beautiful, and the employees were very friendly. I can't believe that Six Flags owns and operates the park because it's that great. El Toro is my favorite wooden coaster by far and in my top 5 favorite coasters. Kingda Ka isn't as good as Top Thrill Dragster but it's still a blast. I think Nitro is a lot better than Raging Bull. Medusa made me wish that the floorless rumors for GAm were true. It was great riding GASM after Shockwave was torn down. In my opinion if you loved Cedar Point then you will probably love SFGAdv too. Also New Jersey is a beautiful state, the people are nice, and it's clean.
SFGAmfreak4life pretty much sums it up in his post. My only complaint (if you can call it that) is that it actually had lines. Pretty crazy for a Six Flags park. The zero-g roll on Medusa is possibly my favorite inversion on any ride. If at all possible, I would try to spend 2 days there (especially if you want to hit up all the fright fest stuff).
Coasters Ridden: 131 Top 5: Maverick, El Toro, Voyage, Fahrenheit, Dominator
