Is there a reason that if the ops see there's empty cars left, they can't let a few more people out to fill them?
Yes....If an operator closes a gate and then begins checking...they don't let others on for safety.
However, they are allowed to close the gate, go around and check for open units, and let more guests through, as long as they do not check any restraints.

Same. Almost anything negative about Vu.
Errr, what's wrong with saying something negative about Deja Vu? Is it not the most negative ride at the park? Is it not the one that park guests say "is never" or "is rarely" opened? Is it not the ride that will go down for weeks going into month(s)? Is it not the main coaster, that, even when not down due to issues with the ride, will be the first to be closed due to staffing? Is it not the ride that opened in October the year it was built?
Don't get me wrong - I really enjoy the ride. Ironically, one of the main reasons I still enjoy it, probably more than any other coaster in the park, is because I have been on it the least of any coaster at the park. You need read no farther than the previous paragraph to see what the cause of that is. However, in all, or almost all other aspects other than ride experience, Deja Vu is about as negative as it gets IMHO.
Key word being almost. I do understand the negativity of the ride. In my post I meant ridiculous accusations and rumors, not facts.
^Yeah, the only negative thing I have to say about the ride is that it's not open enough, well, I hear this year it's been running great. Hope this continues on through the next time I can go. Because the ride is flat out awesome and definitely worth the wait if the line is long. I probably wouldn't say that about most rides, because they were at least open a lot more often and more reliable, and you could go on them anytime and be picky.
Hee hee, look. I have a signature thingy um, thing.
What's wrong with the kids listening to ipods? I'd love it if all the tweens wore ipods. It would shut em up! And as far as my biggest pet peeve... the basketball one is definitely up there. As is the re-joining your "group" in line thing. But as an enthusiast I'd have to say that the #1 thing that really irks me is when people see a cool ride on tv or the internet and they think they know everything about roller coasters. One of these days I just want to grab one of them, sit them down for about 4 hours, and tell them everything I know about roller coasters.
