though one thing to keep in mind, the Washington Redskins is the most profitable team in pro football and is considered the most valuable (as in a dollar figure).
Really all snyder wants to do is make SF profitable at any cost even if it means the whole company going under after he sells it for alot of profit. As soon as SF turns profit which if he keeps raising prices it will, the stock price will skyrocket, Snyder will make a quick sell before all the people who walk away from six flags dont have a chance to not return.
In Capitalism it is every man for himself.

While Sndyer has made alot of money with his ownership of the Redskins, the team itself sucks and he is part of a monoply without competition from another well funded league.
That isnt the case with SF where he has stiff competition from other parks/owners who are well funded. What he gets away with price gouging in the NFL wont work in a much more competitive enviroment like Theme parks which have to compete with alot of other types of entertainment for the family entertainment dollar.

How is owning an NFL team a monopoly? The very same dollars that he is trying to get with his team is the same dollars that are going to SF. It's all entertainment dollars. John Doe can decide whether to spend his extra cash at an NFL game or decide to spend that very same money at an amusement park. It depends how John Doe wishes to spend his entertainment cash.
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.
It is a monoply in the sense that there is no competition from any other football league, they are the only game in town. And since that is the case snyder can rape the football fans with high prices on parking tickets etc.
Now if they were other football league's then the quality of the team would matter. There arent several other football leagues like there is Disney/Busch/Cedar Fair/GE-Universal to compete against. SF parks.
Snyder benefits because America is a football crazy country so the fact that your team is awful doesnt hurt them at the gate, if your fans dont show up to see your team, it is easy to sell the tickets to the fans of the opposing team.
But in the theme park world there is major competition so crappy service with teenagers running amok does directly affect the bottom line, in SF's case to the tune of 2 Billion dollars.
PS-Shapiro is doing what he is told to do by snyder, who may not own the whole company but by staging the revolt againts Burke has been given the ability by the corporate board to run things. And by hand picking Shapiro he got a who will do his bidding.
Snyder doesnt know a theme park from a football stadium and doesnt care, he really has nothing to do SF other than owning a lot of stock. Basically he got Shapiro appointed and said "see ya, make some $" Price increases really have nothing to do with him, actually nothing in the parks have anything to do with him cause he leaves the company for Shapiro to run. Snyder has been very hands off and hopefully it stays that way. I think once more parks get sold the company will gradually get better, though I dont give a rats you know what about other SF parks than GAm cause their not my problem.
Anyway the only park I see really having operational issues right now is SFMM with their excessive gangbanger CM's and cell phone usage, other than that theres no arguing the company is run much better now than it was a few years ago, and I think people will realize that when they see the entertainment packege for this coming year.
