Hmmm... the only amusment company I could see buying these parks would be cedar fair, but I doubt they will.

mrsarcastic wrote:Are you kiding!? The other parks in California don't even begin to compare to the greatness that is SFMM. Universal sucks... Knotts is OKAY... Disney isn't the same at all - so there is no comparison there.

Many of the coasters at SFMM are ahead of their time and much more ground-breaking than anything else you would find in Cali... or the entire WEST. SFMM is a coaster destination for the whole west coast... not just for people who live in the Cali area. I don't think it will be demolished... but it's VERY shocking to read others saying it wouldn't matter if it were.

Paramount's Great America, Six Flags Marine World, Bofante Gardens, and tons of other parks are also in Cali. People are just saying there's already plenty of other parks in the state, whereas with some of these other parks they're pretty much the only theme park in the state so it'd be sad to see it go.

Well, I think SFGAm should be plowed.
Like I can't believe an enthusiast would WANT to see a park go.

Why couldn't someone just fix the operations, and give more money to the park instead of building roller coasters every year? The only ride that won't be operating anytime soon is Flashback. The reason is because of a safety issue in the vehicles. Intamin doesn't make this ride anymore (for good reason), and they need to buy new vehicles for it because California wants them to. So, they are not operating it. It's basically a dead duck.

Every other roller coaster should be open except that. I went and five rollercoasters weren't open. The excuses are legit though. The thing was that Deja Vu was getting a refurbishment on the train like the other ones. They didn't even have the train there. Psyclone was getting work done on it's lift hill. Tastu was being built, and Revolution was being refurbished, and it was in Tastu's way so it couldn't be open.

Flashback shouldn't even count as being there anymore as they wanted to remove it, but it would cost too much money to do that. The problem is buying too many roller coasters year after year. They wanted to beat Cedar Point instead of just worrying about thereself. They could have been just like Great America if they wanted to with 12 roller coasters instead!!.

So, in essence this year it wasn't really the parks fault for those rides not being open!!

Darien Lake, Elitch Gardens, Wild Waves and Enchanted Village, Magic Mountain/Hurricane Harbor, the waterpark in Columbus, and a waterpark in California (The reason is because the other waterpark is only an hour away.)

Paramount's Great America is a total joke... especially since they took Stealth out. SFMW is OKAY, but REALLY far from SO Cal... do ya'll ralize how large California is!? As for Bofante Gardens... I wouldn't even call that an option.
