Questions about Cedar Point

Talk about anything that has to do with the amusement park industry here.
Postby revolutiongurl on July 9th, 2006, 8:18 pm
I might be making a first-time trip to the park w/ my sis, later this year.
I had a couple of questions.

First of all, what are the restraints on TTD like? Do they even strap you in over the shoulders? If not, that ride'll be on my "No" list.

Also, do they have On-Ride photos there? If so, what rides are they on?

I hope the questions aren't too stupid  ah well. I look forward to the trip (hopefully)!!
Thanks
Eh.......I got nothing.

TTD has lap-bar restraints. There's on-ride photos for TTD, MF, Magnum XL, Raptor, and if I'm not mistaken there's one on Mean Streak.

Yep. Top Thrill Dragster has a simple seatbelt and a simple lapbar. However, you may get the feeling of being unsecure but when the ride starts, all the forces are keeping you back in the seat. You could accually ride it with nothing securing you and you would still be fine.

2nd) The onride photos are: Magnum XL-200, Raptor, Millennium Force, and Top Thrill Dragster*

*: Top Thrill Dragster give you a special picture, on one side, it shows a picture of when you reached the 120m.p.h. speed and one shows and after ride photo. Its cool!
It's green. It's blue. It's all over you! Enjoy your ride on Déjà Vu

No way. On the launch you'd be fine because of the forces, but once you get ontop of that tophat if it's running well that day you would fly right out if you were in the front of that train.

Not to mention the brake run.

There are 6 roller coasters with on ride photos. Those coasters are Top Thrill Dragster, Millennium Force, Raptor, Mantis, Mean Streak, and Magnum. Woodstock Express also has one in case you will be riding it.

Top Thrill Dragster is an awesome ride, and trust me you are very secure. You have a seatbelt and a hydraulic lap bar which will ensure you are in there securely. TTD also has bucket seats and specialized headrests which add to the other safety devices. These lapbars keep you just as safe as other rides with over the shoulder restraints. Keep in mind that many coasters with OSTRs secure you at the waist just like lapbars do. I believe Kingda Ka's OSTR restraints secure you at the waist as well, but I'm not sure.

You will have a great time at Cedar Point. Another thing with on ride photos is you get a coupon after you buy one to buy another. Its good for only that day, so it helps if you buy your photos in the same day if possible. Have fun!

If I am correct, it takes four failures to even have a chance of falling out of your seat in TTD: two in the seatbelt, and two in the lapbar. For this to all happen is pretty much impossible.

^ Probably. Cedar Point rides feel very safe, in my opinion...

And you WILL NOT fall out of TTD.
