Dollywood to get new Euro-fighter coaster in 2007

Talk about anything that has to do with the amusement park industry here.

Here is info i found on another site regarding a new coaster that is being built in 2007 at Dollywood. Too bad im visting this year and not in 2007



Mine Facts

Mystery Mine, scheduled to open at Dollywood in spring 2007, is the United States’ first system based on Gerstlauer’s Euro-fighter ride, which combines an intimate guest experience with hair-raising 95-degree drops. Located in Dollywood’s Timber Canyon area, Mystery Mine is themed as a long-abandoned coal mine with an eerie past. Mystery Mine utilizes a state-of-the-art show experience built on special effects, audio and lots of excitement.

sweet, it just seems weird that it drops 85 ft. and only goes 46 mph.

Umm...how can it have a 95 degree drop?? I don't see how that would work... :?

Thats like umm...

Picture a 90 degree drop then add 5 more degrees on. It kinds goes back towards the lift.

That's what I was wondering, so you mean it would go almost upside down for a drop? I've never seen that done before, so I wasn't sure if that was what it meant...

thats vild svinet at BONBON land, its 75ft tall and includes a 95degree drop. That was built in 2003.

You guys havent heard of these gerstauler "euro-fighters"?

hmm...I guess I just never saw those before...but that looks pretty cool, and for some reason I thought 95 degrees would have been more of an angle, thats why I didnt think they would do it. But that's not that far backwards.

Yeah they never look that past vertical. When the trains on the drop it appears theyre faalling verically, not past.

even a POV video of speed gave off no impression of an "indent".

You think 95 is alot? Ever seen Screaming Squirrels before? The drops on this go a little less than 180 degrees. Although they're not much of drops.
