It was announced 2 weeks ago that there will be a 100 million dollar indoor\outdoor water park built at the I-80 and Illinois 178 intersection in LaSalle\Utica, Illinois. For years, people have been complaining that there is nothing to do in the area (me being one). So, The city of LaSalle decided to do something about it, they are building a massive water park. It is said to have cabins and condos availible to stay overnight in. It is supposed to be the bigger than magic waters and the biggest indoor water park in the midwest. Construction starts this summer and its supposed to be finished in Summer 07'. Sounds awsome...since thats only 10 minutes away from me.
Facts from the Newstribune newspaper from May 23rd.

It actually might to tell you the truth...because since its a resort...we wont just get people from the LaSalle-Peru area, maybe people within a 100 mile radius would possibly have a small vacation there. And in this area...every one goes to six flags at least twice a year.
I think it will be an ENORMOUS success. It being so close to Starved Rock will be a great. I know i go there at least five times a year since i'm from New Lenox! Sounds great and i most definitely can't wait. However, for those from that area, nothing can beat the waterslides at T&B amusements.
RIP: Trailblazer and Deja Vu...heck, even Alien Encounter
