Talk about anything that has to do with the amusement park industry here.
HAve you ever seen pictures of defunct coasters that are just plain creepy? If so post pictures. Also, feel free to talk about creepy defunct, or defunct itself.

They have been abandoned a long time. Comet in the first two pics has been SBNO since 1988 and Wild Mouse in the last pic has been SBNO since 1979.

Wow, great pics batman1150. Here are some pics of defunct Idora Park in Ohio from 2000. There are quite a few pages, and a lot of great pics that are just sad to look at:

I believe what was left of this park was bulldozed a year or two ago.
Finally Coaster Season!!

The first roller coaster with "Comet," does anybody know why they closed down the park?
No matter how hard it is...Never EVER give up. The real failure is those who dont try.

Thats very sad and creepy at the same time. Kinda reminds me of the old amusement park horror stories.

With the wild mouse one, it looks as if they just decided to drop it off in a forest one day.

That's one of the old Ben Schiff Wild Mouses. There are currently no operating Shiff Wild Moused. That one has missing track pieces because the park removed them to prevent people from starting up the ride again.
