Indiana Beach's 2 new attractions for 2006!

Talk about anything that has to do with the amusement park industry here.
Postby Cryptkeeper on January 16th, 2006, 6:22 pm
For those who haven't heard yet, Indiana Beach is debuting two new attractions to their park this year. The first attraction is an interactive water play structure. This will be going in where volleyball used to be.

The second attraction is going to be the first of its type here in the US (Legoland in Cali is also getting one of these this year, I believe). The 2nd attraction is called Splash Battle. It's going to be built in the water tank where Boat Tag (tanks next to Lost Coaster) is currently at. http://www.3dba.be/?nid=5010 will give you a better idea of the ride. Basically, if you're in the ride vehicle, you have to crank the wheels to get the water to fly out of the gun. People in the vehicles get to shoot at other vehicles, guests on the midway (who are shooting at the riders at the same time), and also at targets that activate different water effects.

I think these are 2 great, family additions to an already great park. I'm especially happy to see Splash Battle as it is a unique ride that familys and kids of all ages should really enjoy. I believe it will be a big hit at the park. :D

Nice. I would've liked a coaster though. It seems waterparks are the new money making schemes for themeparks. I know i'll be going to IB this year, though not for these 2 new rides.

Nice, maybe when I go I should actually try out the water attractions, maybe not the new ones but others.

A furious storm once roared `cross the sea, catching ships in its path, helpless to flee. Instead of a certain and watery doom, the winds swept them here to Typhoon Lagoon!

That is interesting. The tank ride that they used to have allowed you to drive a tank and shoot nerf balls at people on the midway who were shooting them at you. Splash Battle sounds similar to that, only free and with water. I'm glad to here about the water play area b/c i think their waterpark needs some more attractions.

Is this confirmed?

I wish Great America had something like that. It would give people something interactive and different to do rather than just waterslides or wave pool. It sounds a lot more fun than just another waterslide.

Possibly a great addition to HH.

That can easily be themed to the waterpark.

Splashbattle seems cool, I know they installed one of those at Walibi World and it was pretty successful so it should do some good for IB
