Probably because I find it kinda interesting that a huge place that was probably once the biggest thing in the area can become a ghost town in a matter of years. Or maybe it's because they're a great place to play with my camera.

^The mall in the photos closed September 30 (to be demolished), those shots were from closing day. There were two stores remaining, as well as the anchor stores. The rest of the mall was empty. The only people there were those taking pictures, and a few mall employees.

The original hosting service crashed and we lost everything. Things are running again, just everything needs to be re-written.

Nice. Chitown contributed a few pics of Lakehurst being demolished for my Lakehurst history site, didn't know there were any other people here who like dead malls.

^You mean this one?

This winter I'm going to finish restoration on it. By next summer it will have all the brake work finished, new seats from a wrecked low-mile Fiero (nearly brand new seats), new exhaust tips, new emblems, I might get some new red paint on the air intake plenum and valve covers, and the underbelly will be cleaned up a bit.

That shot was for a calender contest on fierostore.com, a Fiero parts store. I don't know if it got anywhere though. When I get a new camera I'm going to try and re-shoot that in the Summer because I wasn't too happy with the way the lighting came out.

Jon, you need to put on a speedo and put baby oil all over yourself and lay on the car. That's how you win the calendar picture contest.

No im talking about the guy that owns the farm that got the court order for them to remove their shuttle loop because he could see the top of the loop which made it so that they cannot build anything above the treeline.
