Its such a shame, he was such a legendary comedian and was one who could always get me to laugh regardless of whether I agreed with him or not.

R.I.P. George - You we're a true legend and you will be missed.

I was sad when i read this. Though i'm not a big fan myself, I know that my dad loved him and thought he was hilarious. It was pretty shocking.

Technically George Carlin wouldn't be in heaven, he'd be in hell if you believe in that sort of mumbo jumbo. He was an atheist.

I did see him live twice, once in Rockford and once at the Chicago theater, was a damned good comedian. At least I liked him.

^Depends on what you believe. But even if he was in hell, I'm sure they'd book him in a few comedy clubs up there.

He's had repeated heart problems in the past so even though it's depressing it isn't a huge surprise.
