Anyone good with scanners?! Lol. My scanner is giving me a headache. Whenever I try to scan an image it comes out like this, with these awful lines and colors:

and I can't figure out how to fix it.
I use a Microtek ScanMaker 5600, and use the program Microtek ScanWizard 5 to scan it.
I've been searching on google and other websites forever and can't find anything about this problem. A long time ago when I used to use this scanner occasionally, it worked just fine. This is my first time using it in a while.

youch, looks like your scanner maybe going bad. I had the same issue when i dropped my scanner... repeatedly... Is it hooked up via serial, parallel or usb? It could just be a bad cable or a pin broke off (if its parallel or serial)
