I just went to the Milwaukee Public Museum on Monday to see it and take it in. Man was I impressed!
The human body is so amazing! I know that we have all these systems that keep us alive, make us move, and can break down at any moment. But, to see what it looks like up close, to se the muscles, tendons, ligaments, and nervous system al working together to perform even the most miniscule tasks in life was just breathtaking! I will see it at least once more before it leaves the city that's for sure.
From the perspective of activeness and sports, it is really cool to see what our bodies look like when we are in the midst of a crossover or picking someone up over our heads or what it takes to hold ourselves up on the rings... Quite awesome!
There are a lot of viesceral images in the exhibit. Seeing actual humans preserved in either the prime of there lives, or in their weakest moments before death. Either way for me, it makes me appreciate the life that I have and the body I have been given.
The 2 parts of the exhibit htat I had some difficulty with were the prenatal wing seeing actual stillborn babies, as I lost an infant cousin quite a few years back and it stirred some memories. But, to think that life is that fragile makes you think... The other part was seeing the damaging effects of a stroke. My mom had a stroke 2 years ago and it was bad. I didn't realize the impact of it till I saw what the brain looks like when a stroke occurs, I almost broke down and started crying. They cause so much damage to the whole body that it becomes frail, and my mom ended up getting lung cancer the same year, another sight I saw with the lungs, that she really had no defense against it and died of it.
But anyways aside from my personal life stories, if you live in the Milwaukee area and can see it, I suggest you do. If you have been to it, feel free to discuss what you like about it, don't like about it, or what gripped you the most while touring it.
I'm just a dude who saw it, and was amazed!!!

PS. Wouldn't it be pretty cool to see what your muscles and facial features looked like on a roller coaster?
Push down, then pull up. Exit to your left/right. And, enjoy the rest of your day at Six Flags! Your friendly enthusiast Kyle.
I saw it when it was at Museum of Science and Industry (here in Chicago) both times, it's extremely impressive if you are into that kind of stuff, i'm not necessarily, but my girlfriend at the time was head over heals, i had to pull her away from it after a couple of hours
