High School Football Thread

Its that time of year again, HS football season!!!!

I attend LCHS (Lakes Community HS) in Lindenhurst. We had our first game against Grayslake North and WON 28-27. It was an amazing game!!

4th Q. its 2nd and 3, QB drops back to pass (Lakes Eagles), but then two linebackers get through. Hes now back 20 yrds. and is SACKED!!! At this point its 3rd and 23, score is Eagles- 20, Knights- 27. He drops back again, the linemen get through AGAIN! THis time, he bombs up a hailmary into the endzone WITH A CATCH!!!!! We get setup in 2 point conv. and make it with a run! The Knights begin their drive and get to 3rd and goal. They go for a run and theres a fumble retrieved by the Eagles! Eagles run out the last 3 seconds and end it right on the 50.

Oak Forest Bengals.

We played the Chicago Ore's?
Something like that.
We won 40-0.

Plain and simple.
Ore's couldn't hold onto the ball at all.
Kept getting injured too.

First play reminded me of the Superbowl.
First kick returned for a touchdown.

Maybe we'll actually make it to state this year.
Who knows.

Fresh- 1-2 (they played twice sat.)

The Sterling Golden Warriors are 1-1 after Lemont beat us 7-27. Our next game is at home against Roberto Clemente.

OFHS Bengals played Richards last night...

We got slaughtered.

Didn't complete a pass till about the last six minutes of the game.
And they were SO confident too...

Our next game is Friday 9/14 at 7:30 against Streator. The game will be held here in Sterling.

Plainfield Central High School!!!

We rock this year. Last year we sucked but the sophmore team was undefeated now all of those sophmores are on Varsity.

I think we're like 4-1 so far.

Friday we played Plainfield South High School and OMG! It was amazing because they're our biggest rival and last year they creamed us but this year it was on thier turf and we beat them i think 28-0.
Thursday we have a Varsity football team party at my house, can you say fun?
Friday we play Morris at home. Shall be fun!

Oak Forest Bengals played the Hillcrest Hawks Friday.

Bengals win 27-6.
That's pretty much it, nothing really exciting during the game.

We also played Evergreen the week before, don't remember the score, all I know is that we won.

Oak Forest Bengals played Bremen Braves friday.

I think the score was something like 40-10?

Bengals played Tinley Park Titans.
36-18 Bengals.

Probably the highlight of the game was...Bengals were kicking, Titans receive, Titans thumble it. Next play is a touchdown.

Nothing to spectacular.
But Tinley's defense began to step it up the end of the second half.

LAKES FINALLY WON AGAIN!!!!!!!!

We played out biggest rivals Antioch! AND BEAT THEM IN OVERTIME!!!

It was 20-20 and we went first. Got the TD and extra point. Then ACHS scored their TD attamempt BUT MISSED THE 2 POINT CONVERSION!!!!!!!

If you would want to go to the game, get there EXTREMELY early, as the school has already sold 2,500+ tickets.
