Ok, pretty soon (in the next 3 or 4 months) I am getting a Xbox 360. I know the graphics are incredible but ive heard it is not compatible with all TV's. I have a 480i TV in my room and thats where I want too put it. So would the 360 work on a 480i?
The problem with using these gaming systems on HDTV's is the audio/visual lag they cause. I play my PS2 on 480i and it's very hard to play Guitar Hero with the lag. I'm not sure how much of a problem it is with Xbox, but I'm guessing it's the same.
Also, it depends on the TV you have. I have a Westinghouse in my room and a Sony in the other room. It works perfectly on the Sony.
Ive got a Toshiba and its pretty good for a tube TV. Its pretty up to date for a tube. Ive got a 52" panasonic hdtv in the family room but, thats the familys not mine.
Im just wondering if the 480i would be compatible with the graphics on a 360.

Actually it just makes it worse. I think it has something to do with the analog cable I have right now. Comcast is coming out today for digital cable. That should clear up the audio/visual lag. One other problem is the controller delay. There's about a five tenths of a second delay when you push buttons on the guitar. I have no idea how that can be fixed.
XBox 360 and PS3 for that matter, are next generation systems. The best way to utilize these games is through an HDTV especially one that utilizes an HDMI Connection.
DLP TV's are probably the best type of HDTV for these next Gen games. They have a faster response rate then LCD and Plasma TVs, and if you dont plan on mounting the TV on the Wall, then DLP is probably the best solution for you.
For great results with a PS2 buy a set of PS2 to Component (Red,Blue and Green) cables. These sell for about 15.00 and will give you a better picture. You must have a component ready TV for this to work.
