Dude, that sucks. Thats a really bad policy in my opinion. Why cant kids be able to drop classes? They joined em, why cant they quit? I'm really sorry for you and your friend.

^ I couldnt agree more, Rules are rules, and if he's got a problem with it tough.

After all, no one held a gun to the guys head saying YOU HAVE TO SIGN UP FOR BAND. Its not the school's problem that he did not think his class decision all the way through.
