So I wanna know which one should i get HP or Dell? I want one that cost less than $1,700 and one that has a ATI Radeon or Nvidia GeForce Graphics Card so i can play my sims 2 and RCT 3 on it, Wireless Networking Enabled, & enough Memory and Hard Drive to store ALOT of pictures, music, and files, A DVD/CD Burner, And a Floppy Drive. I know this alot but I just want a laptop that has all the features i want. Please Help. Post a link or picture of the laptop for me!

Second of all, I really don't know much at all about computers. But when Aero posts in this topic, I'd listen to him, as he definitely knows what he is talking about.

You can get laptops for $400 but those have crappy processors. I suggest going to a Best Buy or Circut City and asking a sales person there. They probably know a lot more than anyone here. But, I got a compaq(HP) desktop computer with a sempron processor, it runs RCT2 FAST but the Sims 2 can get slow. So I would sugest getting a AMD 3000+ or a Pentium 4 or higher. But again, go to best buy or another TECH store. They would know a lot more.
Okay, Well A lot of people here will disagree with me, but I would suggest a Dell, you get a bit more for your buck with Dell.
You want to play RCT3 and Sims2, both of those games require somewhat powerful computers. My computer (Pentium 4 2.8 with a Mobility 9700) can run them on High Settings but with some slowdown. The new video cards, which will be the most important part of gameplay, are all sufficent to run these games granted you do not get the Intergrated Intel Video. If you go with Dell, the ATI x1700 will run these games as will the NVidia7600 256. The NVidia will obviously give much more perfomance, but at a 300 dollar price tag (Maybe overkill for you). Another key thing to remember with these new Computers is that CPU Processor speed no longer matters. The Old Pentium 4 line ended at 3.8ghz, but the new chips are currently at 2.1ghz. The new chips are just as powerful. As for RAM, if you want to run Vista (the new version of windows) you will need to get at least 1024mb of RAM. RAM, or Memory, has nothing to do with how much you can store on your computer - that is the Task of your Hard Drive. If you want to store a lot of music and data, then I would suggest getting a 80-100gb Hard Drive. For you, speed shouldn't matter so getting a 5400rpm (as opposed to a 7200rpm) drive would be fine. An average ripped CD takes about 60-90mb, a 30 min video takes 160mb, and an hour video takes 350mb. A ripped DVD takes 4.5-8gb. The average game takes about 2-5gb now a days. Keep this in mind when looking to get a hard drive.
All this shouldn't cost more than 1300 on a dell e1505 15.4 inch widescreen laptop. Remember to look for coupons, if you need help, just post here and I'll show you where to find them.
wow thanks aero! I will look at the Dell e1505. I was also looking at the XPS 600 and they have one that cost i think $2,390. So i'll let u guys know the latest

in my opinion going with the XPS is throwing your money away, that's just my opinion. You can get just as much power out of a non XPS machine fairly easy.
I have an Inspiron 9100, which is a step down from the XPS generation 1. The only thing that the XPS has on my laptop would be the Extreme Edition Pentium 4 and the 2 gigs of ram standard. Everything I have is the same as the XPS. Same holds true with the e1705 which is the 17'' version of the e1505
