Things that are good about the world

A Off-Topic forum to discuss things that aren't related to the Amusement Park Industry.

Inspired by this topic.

Matisyahu
I'd say this guy is the most gifted musician of the past five years. He sounds like nothing you've ever heard before. It's like a combination of reggae, rock, and Judaism. You might laugh at the idea of a Jewish reggae artist (I did too) but this guy is amazing. The songs "Jerusalem" and "Time Of Your Song" are just amazing.

2, the Ranting Gryphon
(Warning: Site contains offensive language)
This fur's got balls and presents them with brilliantly prosed rants and his epic responses to his "Dear 2" letters. Everything he says is right.

Penn and Teller
You just can't beat skeptic magicians.

Wii
Nintendo has never ceased to be innovative (with the possible exception of the Gamecube), and it truly shows with their new console. They're the only guys doing things RIGHT this generation. PS3 and XBOX360 are just upgraded versions of their previous consoles offering almost nothing new. Plus, they're being sold at ridiculous prices. Really, who has $600 to spend on a damn console? The Wii has a completely original concept that's being offered at an awesome price. Nintendo will not disappoint.

Roller coasters
I know this is an unusual topic for a coaster board, but I have to say it. Roller coasters are probably the most awesome thing ever invented. Some guy just woke up one day and was like "I want to be dropped from a REALLY high place and speed up and down hills that would normally kill me." He was a god damn GENIUS.

I did a report on the history of rollercoasters, and there is no "god damn Genius" involved. No one person can take the credit (from the research I did). Trains on mountains, mine trains, and Ice slides got together and became rollercoasters. Now whoever decided that they should make them out of something other than wood, THAT guy was a genius...and the guy who said they should go upside down. Though I rather prefer the guy who knew physics well enough to say they should make loops be tear drop shaped. Those dudes are geniuses.

PSP is great, but there's no way I'm buying a PS3 for $500. Especially when Xbox 360 will probably be $200 for the core then and Wii will be $200 I would assume, so I'd get 2 systems for $400 instead of one for $500.

True, but hardware-wise, the PS3 is going to be ALOT better then any other one, and it's going to have more PSP integration with it too.
