Hey...Anybody play DDR? If you've never heard about them...it's those dancing games you see at the arcades of amusement parks. Yeah they are fun. Well you can just talk about it here i guess. I'm playing it now so I thought of starting a topic about it.

The DDR Craze is almost as bad as World of Warcraft..... it has claimed many of my friends' lives. Both of them have...

REAL video games? BWAHAHAHAHAAA....
So basically, we all need lives...

But seriously, DDR is cool because you can dance and have fun and lose weight (like i did), and it has no violence or anything. Your so-called "real video games" are probably things like fighting games or role playing games or something, honestly, neither DDR nor "real video games" are really good for anyone's geek rating, but I think "real video games" do more damage to someone's geek rating than DDR on account-a the general public seem to think watching DDR is cool.
DDR is like....almost, a spectator sport....haha...what other video game can you say could almost count as a spectator sport?

Yes, I play DDR. But I prefer Dance Maniax. But I also love pacman and joust. I don't know anyone that plays just DDR and not any other game. These are arcade junkies we're talking about. DDR is the way geeks keep from turning into comicbook guy from the simpson's and manage to keep up their trim figures...haha.

Yes, I will be at odyssy fun world from 10:30 until 5am tomorrow night..."project graduation"

I was good at DDR at one point in time, but now, I am okay. I can get A's on most Heavy songs, but due to lack of time and college, I haven't played as much, so basically, I am a crappy Heavy DDR person.

You know, video games are a dangerous thing. I can prove it.

Normally, I wouldn't post this. But in this case, it fits the topic. We made this documentary back in Winter of '06. Enjoy.

EDIT: Afterthought..... we have winter twice a year, you realize that? Bummer.

I got a real feel for ITG today, thought I'd give my two cents on it...
DDR is for singles players who like to dance.
ITG is for singles players who like to do hard songs.
DDR is for doubles players who ...i dunno.
ITG is really awesome for doubles...

(11:00 until 5:00... I mostly played ITG the whole night...)

I disagree that that is awesome.
Since when to people rape the bar playing doubles?
not to mention, its not fair that he can do that...i'm way to short for that...

ITG is numbers juggling for dance games.

If anyone doesn't understand that, well, I'm sorry, I'm an artist, a juggler, a theme park kid, and THEN a DDR player, in that order...so, I like DANCE games for y'know...dancing. Sure, its cool that you are capable of juggling 7 balls or playing a 10 footer on doubles while raping the bar, but its kind of a one trick pony, and it gets boring really really fast.

And once again I must apologise for the awkward comparisons, they make perfect sense if you get juggling and ddr taboos and such.

I oly get them because I collect them. Ultramix's are O.K. Tha Japanese games are By far the best. Especially DDR EXTREME. It is amazing. I did play In The Groove 2, it was O.K. but In The Groove 3 is coming in Fall (or so they say). I also would buy one but they are WAY to much money.

I don't have a pic, I have a 4 month old one though. I am not going to get the camera until later it seems too. Plus no one seems to care.
