The Xbox 360 comes out in 10 days...Who will be getting it? I will probably be getting it come around Christmas time...It is just too expensive right now. So who will be getting it?
I know, and the games will be the regular $50..Many people thought that would change to $60, THANK GOD it didn't. I will be gettin a 360 but the cheapest one lol...
The Xbox 360 does not appeal to me, mainly because I do not think graphics are a major aspect of good games. Xbox 360, like it or not, is mainly focused around games with good graphics and godawful gameplay.
the price ranges from $300 to like $2000 or something. GameStop (the only store left with 360's for pre-order) sells an Omega pack that has everything at launch. the system itself is 300 for the crappy version and 400 for the real version. wireless controllers are 50, wired are 40.

A countdown timer?
No, a count-up timer. It goes from one to explode.
I'll wait for a PS3 and Metal Gear Solid 4. Yeah, I kinda do want a 360 but the graphics aren't that much better than PS2/Xbox/GC graphics and no real great games at launch (like Halo).

Its still going to be the same price at christmas time.
Anyway I'll be waiting for the original xbox to drop in price, so I can add it to my obselete video game system collection.
I'll be waiting +/- 6yrs for 360 to be added to the collection.

I'll be waiting for the 360 price to drop around the PS3 launch and then get it. that or for some killer games to be released (Gears of War, Mass Effect, Lost Odyssey). not that the launch line up is bad, but the system needs a few more hits for me.

Okay, they've got a 360 set up at Wal-Mart and the controller is awesome! I played Call of Duty 2 on an HD screen and I wasn't really that impressed with the graphics for HD, but the controller is the best I've ever felt.

I'll bet you they only hooked up a base model out of the box to the HD screen. I'll also bet they used the standard AV cables rather than the composite cable (non S-Video hook-up). Look at the back and see which cable set up they used. If you don't use the composite out to composite in on the monitor, you will not get HD graphics.
All press releases say that the system is released with AV cables, does anyone know if it will have composite cables included as well or will you have to pay extra for that adapter?

you have to buy the composite cables seperately, but they come packaged in with the non-"core" system. I doubt you'd be able to see what connection they are using as the kiosks are usually sealed in the back so that you can't see what's going on. its possible coasterdude just wasn't impressed with the next gen graphics. it takes a while for developers to squeeze all the power out of the machine and many early games end up looking similiar to the previous generation's.

Alright, just to clear things up, here's what you get with each model.
Core Version - $300
1 Xbox 360
1 Wired Controller
1 A/V wire hookup
Fully-Loaded Version - $400
1 Xbox 360
1 Wireless Controller
1 Universal Media Remote Control
1 Component HD A/V Cable
1 20 GB Detachable Hard drive (Needed to play Original Xbox Games, this alone costs $100)
1 Xbox Live Headset
Xbox Live Silver Membership (for downloading extras and whatnot)
1 month Trial for Xbox Live Gold (actual online gaming)
So as you can see, the fully-loaded version actually is the much better deal. If you buy the core version and then the 20GB hard drive, that alone will cost you the same as just the fully-loaded version.
Hope this cleared things up.

Jusr to clear my post up, I'm used to HD, my friend has an HD monitor for his Xbox. I once played Halo 2 there on HD and it looked nearly as good as Call of Duty 2 did in the Wal Mart display. So, in my opinion X360 graphics are slightly updated and only a little better looking than my PS2 hooked up to an analog tv.

Um, I hate to burst your little bubble over there, but just because you have an High Definition TV doesnt mean the video games you play on it will be HD quality.
You'd need to have gold tipped compnant video cables to give you even enhanced defintion which compared to HDTV is still not even in the same ballpark.
The Xbox has Component HD cables so you can get in most cases 720p HDTV as long as you have the cable. I believe all newer Xbox games (2003 or later) has at least 480i. So, yeah you're right, but most games DO have HD quality.
Sure, lets have the standard system able to do downloads, pay full price, and not be able to save them. The only reason this is being made is for Halo 3 and you all know it.
Also, I heard that apparantley you need to pay for the encasing, or else they just give you the components.
