I think Baseball should be the next sport to issue helmets
That was unbelievable. They're lucky they didn't slip into a Coma.
Cameron has a broken nose, and multiple fractures in his face along with a severe concussion. Beltran walekd away but is expected to go on the Dl with what is suspected to be a strained shoulder. He also required stitches to his face.
After playing baseball basically all my life up until I tore my acl last year, even though I wasnt an outfielder, this is the one thing everyone always feared. Once you leave your feet to make a great play you cant stop. also on plays like this, things happen so fast you cant call it. They didnt even have time to figure out where eachother were. damn.... That's not the first thing eerie that has happened this week in baseball...
(Sorry I don't have any videos for you but...) On Sunday, At the White Sox/Yankees game, a fan jumped out of the upper deck and landed in netting above the lower deck behind home plate. He was arrested, not sure what for though, but I'm pretty sure it was for public endangerment. On Tuesday, at the Diamondbacks/Marlins game, a player had a bat slip out of his hands and it flew into the stands and hit a fan. Hidden Ball Trick, I pulled this once in High School and once in college. and a million times in little league. Around the world and back
The most tricky play I've ever done in baseball was last year (sophomore year) on the high school team when a kid on the other team absolutely crushed a liner to the gap. I was playing first base, and as the kid rounded first, I started screaming "HE MISSED FIRST BASE! HE MISSED FIRST BASE!" The kid wasn't very smart, and went back to the base, then tried to go to second, where he was thrown out by our center fielder. I don't think their first base coach liked it, but G-Man (our coach) told me to try it once. And it turned out that it worked.

Well, by littl league I mean up to high school. The two years before HS you could lead off but I was pulled up when i was in 6th grade so I had 4 years of being able to lead off.

Everytime we pulled it, every parent would get pissed because the umps dont know you have to be off the mound.

Yeah, I can understand that, I'm a Pony League umpire and I'm only 1 year older than the players that are actually in the league. Most of the umpires only know "strike", "ball", "out", and "safe".

Speaking of umpires, my mom is a secretary at the local high school, and the lady she shares her office with has a son that umpires in the Pacific League. He also subs for major league vacationing umpires, and he recently did the last Cubs/Cardinals series at Wrigley. He spoke to my 8th grade class, he's a really cool guy. He's only 25, which I guess is considered very young for a Major League umpire.
