Chicago may soon be building the world's tallest building, the Fordham Spire, at 115 stories and about 2,000 feet tall. It will be located right on the lakefront, and, in my honest opinion, looks kind of ugly.
I don't know what to think of it. No officies in it, just Hotel Rooms and Condos. From what I read in the paper, it said last time something was proposed there the locals threw a hissy fit and it didn't get built. Let's see how the "birthday candle" pulls through.
It looks like a rolled up napkin being held up by invisible hands that's trying to dust up the beach....ugly ugly ugly...tallest buildings are like numbers juggling and intimin's recent rides...one trick pony / pointless.
What you don't understand you can make mean anything.
Bob, there's a video on the link provided, just click the launch button toward the top right of the screen. It gives a little bit closer up images, but still, not very close. I just don't think it would blend in with Chicago at all.

I saw the video, but that's still not a nice high res image. I'm not saying it'll blend right into the skyline, it'll probably stick out, but right now its a drawing superimposed on a photo with 90% of its pixels blown away.
for some reason, it kinda reminds me of Tokyo even though I've never really seen any pictures of Tokyo's skyline or architecture.
I don't have a detonator; its on a timer.
A countdown timer?
No, a count-up timer. It goes from one to explode.
This doesn't make too much sense. Before, terrorists wanted to target the Sears Tower because it was so big. So, does Chicago really need helicopters watching in the air so no one does anything destructive to this thing?
When they targeted the WTC, and sears tower" they were attacking the infrastructure of our contry, Buisnesses and corporations. The only reason they would attack this building would be if they really disliked "ikea" brand furniture.
And is it just me, or does this building NOT fit into the chicago skyline at all? Chicago's skyline is not a modern skyline at all. We don't have any of the newer 'blue' glass buildings. Most all of the buildings are black or white and are an entirely different archetectual style all together. The more I see the more I dread this building..
