Places and things to do over the off-season winter break

So now that SFGAm is closed for the season, what else is there to do during the off season? Fun places to go? Cool places to be at? IDK. Anyone? Suggestions? Im looking for some fun around the chicago area during the off season.

This is fun for me during the off-season...I dont know about anyone else but I like to stay indoors, drink hot cocoa and make warm winter blankets.

Museums of the city are world class and well worth a visit. If you need theme park rides, there is always Safari Land (kiddie coaster, Tilt-a-Whirl and bumper cars) or a visit to Mall of America for a weekend. For the really ambitious, there are always flights to Orlando or CA

I'm a hockey fan, so I end up going to a lot of hockey games. In Chicago, you have either the obvious Blackhawks, or the Wolves. The Wolves are only AHL, but it's still a good game. In Milwaukee, there's the Admirals, and it's really cheap to get good seats to those games.
