The Olympics are now on as everyone should know, and I want to watch CERTAIN events. I don't care for some events like Ski Jumping, or Snowboarding, but I care for stuff like Bobsled, Skeleton, Luge, and I want to see Curling. Well, my biggest problem is that NBC today (Saturday Feb 13th) has a block of programming from 12 pm - 5 pm of Olympics - Speed Skating, Biatholon, Downhill, and Ski Jumping. I want to see how this Speed Skating is, but the problem I have with the Olympics (either Summer or Winter) is that I don't know when let's say Speed Skating is on today. I want to watch Speed Skating because it might remind me of (Roller Jam / Roller Derby), maybe not.
I go to the Olympic site, and they have times for all the events today, but what's on tv now is not what's on when it was supposed to be. They have Ski Jumping on now, but it was supposed to be at 9:45 am, but that's really 11:45 am central time, but really the time now is 1:15 pm when it started. Basically, the Olympics can't be LIVE as they say they are because how can there be a some 1 hour and half gap?
Of course, NBC doesn't want to know exactly when they put stuff on, so you watch it for 5 hours straight. It just bothers me. It would be so much better if this stuff was in segments in the tv guide. I guess this is the reason I've never really been into the Olympics. It's so annoying waiting 5 hours to watch one event.
