I'd have to agree. I was lucky enough to get into the theatre the other night to see this movie and I really enjoyed it. It didn't make me question my religion or anything, but I thought it was very cool how tthey tied all these loose ends together. The first hour or so of the movie I thought was a little slow, but nessary. The middle was way more intense than I had expected.
Go see it.

Powerful story about the attempt by passengers to regain control of the hijacked United Airlines 757 on September 11th.
The story unfolds in air traffic control centers, inside the airplane and inside NORAD the countries military center and one of the darkest days in American history.
The story of 9/11 and not just United 93 is protrayed in this movie, theres no Hollywood or Political tones in this movie, just an actual real-life depiction of the events aboard United 93.
This is a movie you HAVE to see, the movie is brillantly played out, no hollywood or political mumbo-jumbo. It made me leaving the theater very angry about the events as a whole.
You really get a sense of what it was like, not only through the passengers eyes, but the terrorists eyes as well, theres no conflicting points of view in this movie, which is why i give this movie an A+
Go see United 93 in a theater to feel the powerful feelings this movie gives off.
I saw Da Vinci Code, I will not see that movie again.
It could have been so much better and it was way too much like the book,
im sorry but movies like that and Passion of the Christ don't interest me at all.
i don't know why I liked the book more than the movie, but movies about religion isn't my thing sorry people no offense.
besides there was no like real action in it, it was all just a blah but i don't know what everyone else thinks about it but I know I didn't care for it, if you liked it good for you, if you didn't well at least someone agrees with me. 2/5

I think, as a movie, this wasn't very good. There was no character development, too much plot and not enough story, and very repetitive. Having said that, the last few minutes were the most intense I've ever seen on screen. I loved this. I would give it 3 out of 4 stars.
It was actually more like a documentary without narration.
hmm... it could have been better. But the way it is now, is amazing.
Every jumbled pile of person has a thinking part that wonders what the part that isn't thinking, isn't thinking of.
I saw DaVince Code and I was so bored I started counting the reels (7 by my count). the acting, aside from McKellen, was horrible. I've seen better acting in my own student films. the music was all over the place, only occasionally hitting the right emotional note. the cinematrography...ugh, I actually saw a difference in either exposure or film stocks between one angle and another. now that problem should have been covered in editing and post production effects, but it was left alone. overall, the directing felt amature instead of something Ron Howard is capable of.
I don't have a detonator; its on a timer.
A countdown timer?
No, a count-up timer. It goes from one to explode.
X-men 3: Definitely a good movie, in my opinion, I enjoyed it and the general crowd opinion in our theater was that it wasn't too bad. Definitely worth seeing, but I still think i like the second one the best. 4/5
RIP: Trailblazer and Deja Vu...heck, even Alien Encounter
X Men 3 - Overall it wasn't a bad movie, and it had more plot twists in it to put just about any other comic book movie to shame. You will be amazed how many twists there are in the first 30 minutes of this movie. While I didn't think the action was near as good as in the 2nd there was about a 15 minute fight which included Beast from the comic book and he was probably the coolest of any of the Xmen. I didn't like how they made it possible for yet another sequel, but whatever. If you see this movie make sure you stay until the credits are FINISHED to see the extra scene. If you think the last scene before the credits sets it up for a sequel, you will just be amazed when you see the extra scene after the credits.
I'll give it a 4/5 overall, although I went in anticipating more.

I saw the midnight showing down here of X3, and I was very dissapointed in it. The movie felt very rushed and only about half complete. The fact that some shots have very obviously been taken from other scenes and reused elsewhere in the movie, the lack of any kind of development of various plot points (three of the "main" characters from the trailers have about 5 minutes worth of scenes each in the whole movie), and some glaring continuity errors in the "final" battle.
I think either Bryan Singer was going to take the movie a different way, or Brett Ratner couldn't make up his mind and ran out of budget.
All in all it what could be expected from the guy that directed "Rush Hour". Its a typical summer blockbuster movie with plenty of special effects and action to make your ticket worth it. The only problem is that the first two were actualy a good movies, not just your typical summer movies.
Overall 3/5.
It's the most fun in the park when your laughing in the dark.
Funniest movie I have ever seen, it was hysterical oh man. That's the best animated movie since Madagascar. I loved Hammy, he's the funniest character in the movie along with Ozzie and Heather the possums. I loved it all together I wanna go see it again.
Best part ever......... "Let's call it steve" Verne looks at him "Steve?" Hammy says "It's a pretty name" Funniest movie yet go see it.
^First of all, Madagascar was one of the worst movies I've ever seen since Glitter. Secondly, the animation was better than Madagascar but that didn't make it a better movie. Again, the best part of the movie was when the parachute burned up. And Hammy said "You are the devil"
I seriously fell asleep for about 20 minutes during that movie. The funniest parts were in the previews, and the best part of the whole movie was the preview for "Happy Feet." And lets talk about the smart producers for this movie. "Who puts a movie out on the day that Davici Code comes out, that's just not smart.
I really hope Cars doesn't suck this badly, because they both previewed for about 2 years.
I'm hating how these animated movies have gone from Comedy to Drama this year, not fun at all.

The most obvious error is when they were moving that landmark and it was still day, but by time the battle started like maybe 30 minutes later (their time at most) it was deep into the night.
I thought the movie was actually pretty good, but it was rushed, as he said.
For whoever has seen it, did you stay till the VERY END (after the credits)? if so, what did you think of that? If you haven't seen it yet, be sure to stay till the VERY END.
They also set it up in many ways for a 4th, but there isnt one in plans yet, I think there might be. It will just be a hard story plot to create.
Best line of movies ever was in it too... "Do you know who I am, I am the Juggernaut complain."
Universal Orlando Mechanical Engineer Marathon down, Goofy to go.

I seriously doubt Cars will suck. It's PIXAR. They have yet to make a bad movie. Madagascar wasn't terrible.... but it wasn't great. What urks me is that Disney came out with a similar film shortly after. What was it? "The Wild" or something like that? Basically the same idea. Animals escaping from the zoo.
I was just dicussing with a friend how awesome PIXAR is. The only movie they made that was slightly bad was A Bug's Life and that was still successful. PIXAR was even able to make a sequel that was actually good! Toy Story 2 was just as good, if not better, than the first. Finding Nemo and The Incredibles (I think) won best animated features.
I don't think Cars'll be as amazing as The Incredibles, but it can't be any worse than A Bug's Life.
Sorry, I could go on all day about Disney and PIXAR... so I should stop myself now...
Anywho, I haven't seen Over The Hedge, but just from the trailers I coulda told you it sucks. Maybe it has to do with Dreamworks being sold...
Every jumbled pile of person has a thinking part that wonders what the part that isn't thinking, isn't thinking of.
I saw Over the Hedge Saturday and found it quite entertaining. All of the subtle and not so subtle jabs at humans and suburbia were great. My favorite gags were the THX logo, and the little procupines saying "Don't worry dad, we learned this playing Auto Homicide 3".
The only problem I had was the abundance of product placement shots. There were points that you couldn't tell if the movie was making fun of commercialism, or had become a commercial itself. I think that is a real slippery slope to go down, especially when looking at kids movies.
3/5

******** WARNING SPOILERS AHEAD *******
Note on that landmark that all of the cars have also lined back up in the center of the bridge, are in good condition, and have their lights on. This is depite the fact the majority of humans had been cleared off the bridge, and the cars had been smashed to the sides.
Also notice in the opening scene they are fighting a Sentinel in a similar environment to that of the end battle scene. Its pitch black, there is plenty of rubble, and there are plenty of wrecked cars. Not to mention when Wolverine smokes his cigar standing up, you can see pieces of the Golden Gate Bridge right behind him.
There is no explaination given for why the danger room scenario involves a weapon system that hasn't been created yet ("The Sentinel"), nor is there any backstory as to how Colossus and Shadowcat have now joined the main X-men team.
I think the Danger room scene was actually shots used for the ending, but instead they added some new shots ( Rogue looking jealous and the Sentinel head) and called it a whole new scene.
And yes, Vinnie Jones did have the best lines of the movie. I can't wait to see the Wolverine and Magneto movies, as both of them are rumored to have Juggernaut in them. They are also the reason why Xavier was spared at the very end.
It's the most fun in the park when your laughing in the dark.
^ I thought Xavior died?? What do you mean spared. And as far as the danger room being the final scene, I thought that was kind of a nice foreshadowing element and ironic that they trained for what was going to happen. I also don't think that it would be the same if they made a fourth movie. Just think, with most of the main characters dead or powerless by the end, a sequel just wouldn't be the same.
As far as the animated movies, I'd have to agree that Madascar wasn't that great, however, I don't think any of the new computer animated cartoons lately have been good. Pixar is still the best, but I see them going downhill as well.

Okay, I finally saw X 3...... It was muchly entertaining. The visuals were amazing (especially the scene with the floating bridge). Loved the story. I especially love the end where the guy is playing chess. He's so sad.....
Hmm..... I'm tired.....

Whoops..... fell asleep on the keyboard.

I finally know why Xavier did not die. If you listened to his lecture, that you can transport into a mindless body, that is how he escaped death.
Yeah, I just saw it again last night. Me and all my friends (who all saw it with me the 1st time) all let out a big "ooooo" during the lecture with Xavier.
But does that mean that Charles isn't Patrick Stewart anymore? That would devastate me.

I just saw it again as well and you know what i noticed, when Magnito is playing chess at the end and he holds up his hand, the piece DOES move slightly, is that saying he is not completely powerless or is that just the wind and i'm just reading too much into it?!
