The only reason I'm getting a PS3 is for Metal Gear SOlid 4 and GTA IV. I'm hoping PS3's will be about $200 by then. The XBOX 360 uses a bunch of stuff like movies and arcade games to buy their console. But really, people buy the systems for the games, and XBOX 360 just doesn't have them. Only exceptions are Gears of War and Halo.

Anyone got a link to the story about the PS3 recall? I can't find it anywhere.

What's this crap I hear about people getting installation discs with their Wii's.

STOP MAKING UP CRAP.

Your Wii Probably didn't freeze, you just forgot the sensor bar.

The numbers show:
PS3: 250,000 units sold (estimate)
Wii: 750,000 units sold (estimate)

These are sales as of Monday.
Considering PS3 had an extra two days, that's horrible.
Sony said that the wait is over for another shipment, and you'll have another chance to have a PS3. YES! 10 MORE A STORE!

Apparantley the Wii sales have already hit a Million according to some reports on IGN and such. They still have another shipment later this week too.

Nintendo has once again, done a very great release.
Sony, has failed.

Suprisingly, 360 has only sold 7,000,000 in a year. Suprising?

My Prediction by January 1st.
Xbox 360: 8.5 Million Sold
Wii: 5 Million Sold
PS3: 750,000 Sold.

Looks like Nintendo might be the favorite this holiday season.

Sony got too confident that they're always have a permant major part of the market.

This is Nintendo time to make a grab as the major seller of consoles and with what I saw of the Wii it might happen.

I'm sorry but I'm very lazy but if anyone could tell me what's so great about PS3's besides graphics, I would really appreciate it.

I first was just shrugging off both game systems. (Not really a huge fan of video games). But I after seeing the Wii commercials it was looking really sweet, and I kinda want to get one now.

First of all, did you make another SN just to agree with yourself because nobody else would?

Games aren't supposted to be versitile? Maybe I'm new to this whole video game thing, but I think you may need to look up the meaning of versitile. So far I'm LOVING the versitility of my new console. And so far everyone on my floor has loved it too. Maybe you're just afraid of change?

DIKY yawns as he turns on his already-plugged-in SNES and enjoys the fight. He chuckles a little and goes back to battling King K. Rool.

Yes, I also got one on launch. It is amazing, as everyone has been saying (except andyvball/carebar). Now, on to something a little different maybe? What are all you Wii players' system codes? (I think that's what their called) We could share a Mii and have a parade :D

I need my USB internet cord before I can go online because my ghetto campus has no wireless internet for any of the dorms yet.

/\ Just wait for the LAN adapter, that is what I am doing. Also, I agree, the Wii is going to be a huge hit, everyone here is amazed about it and even the non-gamers love the system and want one. Its easy for them to play too, and this is why its going to be a huge hit. That and along with its innovative game play.

^Me and a guy a few doors down with a DS just went halfsies on a USB WiFi adaptor, so it shouldn't be a problem anymore.

That's a good idea, but $50 for the USB WiFi adaptor is quite a bit, I saw third party ones for like $10, but I don't know if they really work. Its just that the LAN adaptor comes out late January I think. How are your batteries holding up on it? I have gone through 2 sets and racked up a total of about 35 hours of play time. I need that Wii remote recharger coming out in Jan., it is a third party thing, but will be a money saver.

Just check eBay. We got ours for $33 including shipping. Not to mention now he can connect his DS from a few doors away.

Wii: Over 600,000 according to Nintendo
PS3: Something around 350,000

This is nuts though:
Nintendo also added that sales of the Wii's highly anticipated launch title, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, has already has achieved sales of more than 454,000 units in the Americas, a figure which it notes represents in excess of of 75 percent of all hardware purchasers.

Not to mention Wii was on Colbert Report. Apparently, Colbert likes boxing a Mii version of Nanci Pelosi. Then again, I would too.

So my rich buddy friend picked up a PS3 and a Wii on the same day.

He caught the truck at Best Buy.

He played the PS3 for the first three hours he had it.
He's been playing the Wii since, as his siblings fight over the PS3.

We have a winner.

Last week I had five days off.
I stayed up a straight 72 hours, to beat Zelda.
After 72 Hours, it's beaten, but not 100%.

Such a long game.

My best Wii bowling score is up to 237. My longest strike streak is 6. Red Steel is a little over half beaten because I have only gotten to the game for about an hour the past 5 days. (Geez, school!) I love Wii bowling so much though, it's so addicting!

Wow, I haven't posted here in a long long time, but I got my Wii on the 19th, got to my walmart at about 8:30 PM, didn't open til 7 AM so I was there for quite a while. I was #6 in line out of 20 total, and my friends were #7-12 so we actually had a pretty good time, watched The Office (US version) all night long. I picked up Zelda and Madden, both are pretty amazing games, but Wii Sports, especially bowling, would have to be my favorite. I've only gotten about a 215 so far, but it's just so fun.

And oh yeah, since I got it, about 6 more of my friends are now planning on getting a Wii. Wiis are amazing!

In my years of owning gaming consoles, I have never owned a Nintendo system.

My inventory has been Atari 2600, Sega Genesis, PS1, and PS2.

Looks like I will have to break that tradition and purchase my first Nintendo system.

Sorry Sony. :D
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.

No, not going to purchase a Wii. My boyfriend has one, so I don't need one, I can just play his. It's pretty addicting too.
