Okay, I saw Harry Potter 5. I really liked it. My favorite one actually. I usually don't see them in the theatre cause I haven't been caught up in the past, but now I am. This one was alot darker and spookier and more adult than the past four.

It's interesting to me because I'm so fresh to the story. I haven't read any of the books as to not spoil my moviegoing experience. I'm really excited to see where the story goes from here.

I saw HP yesterday as well. Definitely my favorite, but a little too short. It was amazing.

The Simpsons Movie:

Being a lifetime Simpsons fan, and seeing how much downhill the writing had gone over the past few seasons, I didn't walk in with high expectations. So at the beginning, Homer proclaims something along the lines of, "why should I pay for something that I can watch on TV for free? You're all suckers" Yes I am a sucker, and I was glad that I paid my $7.00, and put my butt in a packed theater surrounded by rowdy teenagers.
This movie was funny, especially the first 40 minutes or so, and it reminded me very much of seasons 3-10. After that, it seems to hit a snare, and slows down, but that is to only to concentrate on the Simpson's relationship with Homer, especially Marge, who finally has had enough, and decides to take the kids back with her to try and save Springfield. The voice acting by Julie Kavner during a scene where Marge leaves Homer a taped message was just fantastic. It then picks up in the final act, and make sure to stick around during the credits to hear Maggie's first word.
If you like The Simpsons, this is a must see.

^ I saw the midnight show. Holy crap was the crowd wild. I loved the movie. LOVED it. It had everything the show today is missing and had back in the begining. Humor and emotion. The show seriously lacks on an emotional level. The movie exceeded my expectations (and they were pretty high to begin with).

And it's not Spider-Pig anymore. It's Harry Plopper.

No Reservations Really good movie. It's definatly a dating kind of movie. Catherine Zeta Jones is a really good actress along with Abigail Breslin. It's a really cute movie. If you have a boy or girlfriend go see it. I'd recommend it because I liked it. 5/5

The Simpsons Movie:

Homer,Bart,Lisa,Maggie and of course Marge are in the blockbuster movie of the Summer!

The Simpsons' have been one of the highest rated shows on TV for nearly 20 years, There isnt a person alive that at least hasnt heard of them is there?

The Movie however..... Sucks

The plot bounces all over the place, most of the funniest parts where already in the commercials for the movie. Add that to the family of VERY obnoxous people behind us made the 87 minutes of this movie unbearable.

I know im in the minority when I say this but, I want my money back!

The Simpsons movie gets...

1/2 Star

^No, I'll agree with you Galvan. Granted, I has high expectations going in. Those being that it was on par with 90's Simpson's television.

Simply put, it wasn't. It actually wasn't all that funny at all. There were moments, but I left disappointed.

SUPERBAD: I will guarentee any college/high school kid that sees this movie will be quoting it all semester long. Crazy movie, EXTREMELY funny (i almost cried i was laughing so hard), but NOT recommended for the younger crowd. It is definitely my favorite movie this year and definitely the most deserving of a rated "R" rating. 5/5

Saw IV This is easily the best Saw movie yet. While it has less scenes of gore, the scenes that have it are intesified. It had more of a storyline, and a great twist at the end. Very confusing though. 4 out of 5.

I've seen a bunch the past few weeks, so I'm gonna go crazy here.

Resident Evil 1, 2, and 3. I put them all together because they are all practically the same movie. Great if you love zombie movies, not so great if you don't like zombie movies. I do like them, so they were great.

Happiness - Its an independent film about pedophilia which was easily one of the funniest movies I'd seen in a long long time. Hilarious and disturbing at the same time. Would definitely recommend.

Dogville - Can be slow at times in the middle but the ending is so unexpected and weird it makes the movie a hit. Nicole Kidman does a wonderful job acting throughout the movie. Great.

28 Day/Weeks Later - So I went on a zombie movie craze, whatever. The sequel was far superior than the first one. The first one was weird and didn't make a lot of sense while the second was easier to follow and was cooler. Unfortunately you need to watch both for it to make any sense so that sucks.

I don't know if i would call Saw IV the best of the series so far (i still LOVE the second one) but it was definitely a worth addition. 4/5

Dan In Real Life: Apparently this is the only movie in our theater not rated R so the "family movie" was this. It was a nice surprise though. It wasn't boring like most romantic comedies and I thought it was a farely decent flick. 3/5

Martian Child: I won free tix to see this and i'm very happy i did. It had a plot similar to Big Daddy (my fav Adam Sandler flick) and a tone similar to Pursuit of Happiness...which after seeing Saw IV, was a nice thing to find in a movie  Overall, i was very pleased, moved to a certain extent by the heartwarming qualities of this movie, and very happy that i went!!!!! 5/5!

Ratatoullie (or however the hell it's spelled) - This is definitely not my favorite PIXAR movie, and I really like the PIXAR movies. It wasn't as funny as most of the other PIXAR movies, and the plot was kind of boring. 3.5/5

Halloween (2007) - Probably my favorite in the series, tells alot more about Michael Myers' past, but the ending was bad, it throws the whole story off for parts 2, (3 had a different story, not counted), 4, 5, etc. 4/5

August Rush!: Easily the best movie i've seen all year (which is hard for me to admit after seeing Superbad). I won't hesitate to see it repeatedly in theaters and then purchase it when it comes to video. Amazing music first of all, second off, great actors!!!!!!!!! Freddie Highmore is convincing as always, Robin Williams pulls the wierd off again, and whoever that GORGEOUS girl is that plays Freddie's mom is great as well. All in all, i was more than pleased with the whole package and i'm sure many others will agree!!!! 6/5 easily the best movie this year!!!!!!

Enchanted Horrible movie..........I thought it was going to be good from the trailers but I was dead wrong. It had to be one of the upmost boring movies ever. Some funny parts the rest of it was just what is the point of this movie. I don't think I'll see it again. 2/5

Bee Movie Now this movie was hysterical. I really liked this movie a lot better then Enchanted. The jokes were funny and Jerry Seinfeld was very funny in this movie and I just thought the story line was good. I'd go see it again if I had the time. 4/5[/b]

Sweeny Todd.

Waaay better than I expected it to be. Even though this is a rated R musical and will probably get little attention by the media I think everyone should go see this movie. Tim Burton's way of moviemaking actually works with the story and Johnny Depp does his best acting job since the original Pirates.

The movie doesn't drag, and it uses death as comedy. Excellent 10/10

Going to see I Am Legend and Juno tonight after work. Reviews it come later.

I'm a little late on this because I saw it last week. Anyways:
I Am Legend Good movie overall. It had a good amount of action, but it wasn't non-stop. Even though it's a simple movie to understand, it's hard to explain. It's almost like "A Day in the Life Of..." Unfortunately, it wasn't all I hoped it would be.

Golden Compass I read the book long ago so I forgot what happened. I liked the story behind it and it was a good movie. I would recommend reading the book before seeing the movie. 4/5

Sweeney Todd Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter were awesome in this movie as was Alan Rickman and Timothy Spall. I liked the music and it was a little gory in my opinion but I liked Johnny and Helena Bonham Carter together. 4.5/5

NATIONAL TREASURE: BOOK OF SECRETS

As far as sequels go, this movie was amazing. It lived up to how the first national treasure was as in could actually be true. It took place mostly in DC and featured many historical places. I really liked the movie beginning to end. It was 2 hours long, but got going right away. Not as much humor like the first but still enough. Some new characters introduced also and SOMEONE ACTUALLY DIES.

3.5/4 stars

Sweeney Todd

I had been waiting over a year for this masterpiece and I was certainly not dissapointed. I've seen it twice already and the second time was just as good as the first. It is the prefect example of dark, dark humor and horror. The fact that it's a musical makes it ten times more watchable. I love this movie and will most likely see it several more times before it.

Same guy who wrote Jekyll and Hyde, another horror musical. Weird but it works. Haven't seen Sweeney Todd yet but i plan to.

Juno- I liked this a lot. I thought the second half was definitely better then the first, but overall it was great. The story was very real, I loved the plot arcs for all the characters, and all the characters were very humorous and real in themselves. The only problem i had with the movie was the opening credits...for some reason they felt awkward to me.

3.5/5.

Enchanted- I completly disagree with Jackluver's post. Obviously from my username I'm a Disney Geek, so I was probably the movies target audiance. But I thought they manged to tell their own story, while both paying homage to and making fun of Disney Animation. I loved Amy Adams' performance, I didn't think she was over-acting at all, I thought she played it exactly how a Snow White/Cinderella Character would act if they were plunged into New York, which is both props to her and the writers. I thought that James Marsden was very much over acted but it worked for his character. "That's How you Know" and "The Working Song" were both highlights. My One disappointment was that Idina Menzel didn't sing.

5/5

August Rush- I loved August Rush. I thought the kid was likable without suffering Cute Kid Syndrome which is a feat. And I really liked both the parents characters. Definetely my favorite scene was when he was playing the guitar with his father in the park.

4/5
