I liked it^. Kevin Smith was good in it as well. Fun balls to the wall action flick.

and the Pixar film was amazing as well. One of the best ones.

I saw transformers last night, and let me just say that if you are a dork like me, you are going to love this movie. If you aren't like me, however, you may not appreciate the movie for what it is.

When you watch it you need to keep an open mind that this movie is about transformers, and a lot of it is just not going to make sense. (Unless you were a fan of the old series) When they started naming off the transformers I got all giddy because I remembered a lot of their names. The first 45 minutes are pretty slow, but the last half hour or so is pretty incredible for any dork. I left the theater all smiley faced because of the final fight scene. Amazing.

It impressed me.

Ok, I am alittle confused here. When does the movie open? I checked Elk Grove Cinema, and they have show times for tonight of 8,9, and 11 p.m. I thought the movie opened tomorrow, or the 4th.

Transformers opens tonight with special 8pm showings (and possibly other screenings), and it will open wide tomorrow. I checked out the film last Thursday as part of an advanced screening.

Even though my sister had no interest in Transformers before seeing the film, she still enjoyed the movie. There are some great comedic moments for those who have no background knowledge on the series.

Yeah, I have a buddy thats a manager at the movie theater near my house, so I generally get to see everything a couple days before it actually comes out.

Speaking of, I saw the new Robin Williams movie tonight. I don't even remember what it was called because it was pretty terrible. The first hour is a run of the mill romantic comedy and the ending doesn't make much sense and seems really rushed. Sort of a waste of an hour and a half. I wouldn't recommend it if you are planning on blowing 9 bucks on it.

Transformers

Since I think that Galvin and I have the same taste in movies, I am anxious to see what he has to say about this movie.

Anywho, just got back from seeing this, and all I can tell you is that it is a M. Bay movie through, and through. I am not a huge Transformers fan, I was more into Star Blazers, and Speed Racer, but I did watch them, so I was quite familiar with all of them. Clocking in at well over 2 hrs, it sure doesn't feel like it. The movie drags at points, but the corny humor somehow keeps the movie moving along.
The only gripe I had with the movie was with the final battle between the Autobots, and the Decepticons. When they were fighting it was very hard to determine who was fighting whom. They seemed to mesh together in a mass of metal and explosions. Optimus Prime stood out with his battle with Megatron (who looked really f'n cool) simply because of his color scheme. My other gripe is Megatron, and Starscream (who's fight with the F-22's was simply awesome) where only in the movie for about 20 minutes.
It's a fun movie, and the crowd was really into it.
4 out of 5. Would have gotten a 5, but the confusion during the fight scene in the city brought it down to a 4.

On a side note: There was a trailer about an upcoming J.J Abrams movie having something to do with Robot in the title. Explosions in NY City, fireballs racing through the skyline, and the head of The Statue of Liberty falling into the streets of downtown NY.

^. We saw the same preview in our early screening last week. When I saw the Bad Robot/J.J. Abrams signage, I thought it would have been a preview for Star Trek. After some searching on the net, the trailer is for a for-now very secretive project titled "Cloverfield". It's supposed to be a giant monster flick, opening 01/18/08. There were definitely alot of moans and WTF moments in the theater when there was no title/info displayed for the flick.

I really honestly am not interested in seeing Transformers at all, but my boyfriend really wants to. So if I can maybe eventually I am going to surprise him and take him to see it, I will probably end up liking the movie anyway.

It caught my interest. Especially how it seemed to be filmed via a hand held.

TRANSFORMERS

The Fate of the World hangs in the balance as The heroric Autobots wage war to destroy the evil forces of the Decepticons!

The peace loving Autobots are out to stop the evil Decepticon from finding the "Allspark."

The story itself is a pretty typical Transformers type story, The Autobots are looking to stop the Decepticons, and the autobots need help from the humans to stop the decepticons.

Simple enough. There are points of this movie that kinda drag most notably, The scene in which Sam Whitwiki is looking for the "map" to where the allspark is located. This cultimates with his Mom discussing masturbation to his son. Megan Fox is smoking hot in this movie, and really helps ease some of the dull parts of this film.

There are a couple of really good one liners in this film as well. One of note is the Megatron vs Jazz scene and another is Optimus Prime explaining to Sam how they learned to talk.

The battle sequences in this movie are awesome, alot of explosions, alot of action and alot of excellent point of view shots, you definately can tell this is a Michael Bay film.

Now for the bad. The movie does lag in points, but not to the point of being bored. At times though you'd think you where in a giant commerical for GM products. As noted above the final battle sequence is offset by the fact you cant tell whose fighting who.

Some of the deaths of the robots we awesome.... You'll have to see the movie to know what im talking about here.

All in All being a hardcore Transformers guy, I give this movie 3 out of 4 stars. Great Action, some awesome one lines, Megan Fox has curves that just dont quit.

BE READY FOR A SEQUEL.

^I'll agree with you on the sequel part, I've heard that if it did well on it's opening weekend its almost a guaranteed sequel.

And yes, Megan Fox's boobs were hanging out the entire movie.

I'll hopefully be seeing Harry Potter in the next couple days, I'm really excited about it.

I just went to see Transformers and it was amazing. To be honest I almost began crying for probably one of the stupidest reasons, which isn't quite normal for me but a bit understandable.

I thought the story was pretty amazing, and it turned out to be a lot different than I anticipated.

When "Bumblebee" transformed into the new Camaro, that was when I wanted to cry. Because for some reason it just looked so damn sweet on screen, and it sucks that I'll probably never own a car as nice as that. I think it has become my favorite car over the Corvette, which I never thought would happen.

Harry Potter Amazing movie. I saw it at midnight. Funny as could be. It was sad also. I'm not going to spoil it if you haven't read the book. I'm not that mean. But it was great....really great. I can't wait to see it again. I give it 5/5 because the actors have grown up so much and are talented actors. The rest of the cast was amazing as well. It was dark and scary at some points but the rest of it was amazingly cool. If you're a Harry Potter fan like me...go see it. I think it was a tad bit darker then PoA if you don't know what that is...that's sad. Anyways it's a bit darker then that movie but I liked it. Go see it.

I just saw "1408". Okay, best horror/thriller movie i've ever seen! Stephen King has a messed up mind. The cool thing was about the movie was there was a clock that was counting down from an hour. And we kept checking it, was was couting down real time! So you could see about how much longer the movie was. Also, every time they put a jump in, it got me. And i dont scare easily. The last thing i'll say is that if you do scare easily, dont worry, there is A TON of comic relief. I'm goin again wit my girlfriend. Should be just as good.

BTW: It's good i'm seein it again cause it was a little confusing. I'll need to watch it this time and try and figure things out.

Just saw Harry Potter tonight, it was more than worth my 9 dollars. I think they did a really good job with this movie. It wasn't a kids movie, and I know they need to work with the books, but its finally getting to the point where the plot is moving along in the series, and its really exciting. Really good movie and I can't wait to see it again.

And Professor Moody is badass. Total badass.

I saw Harry Potter again. You're going to be seeing a lot of Harry Potter comments from me because Im gonna go see it so many times. It still is an amazing movie. I'm not gonna spoil some of the really cool stuff that they have in the movie. But it was really neat. I am gonna say though my favorite part is Filch sitting in front of the Room of Requirements with a sandwich that was hysterical. Anyways best movie once again. 5/5

Evan Almighty.

Way more kids movie than I expected, seemed totally different than Bruce Almighty, even though they teach the same lesson, which I still like.

I also didn't realize John Goodman was still alive, so that was good.

I saw the new Fantastic Four movie yesterday. I thought it was pretty good. The scenes at the end were really cool. And let me tell you, I read a review of the movie in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and that crackhead Dudek (I think it was him) said the threat of the planet being destroyed never seems to be there, or something like that. Bullcrap! That Galactus thing was in the process of eating the planet at the end of the movie. What do you want, you idiot critic? To see half of the Earth blown to pieces before you notice the threat? Dumb critics.
Hee hee, look. I have a signature thingy um, thing.
