Has anyone here gotten GH:3? I think it's pretty good. The new battles are cool and the song list is pretty good also.
I completely disagree, battle mode just makes it harder. If I wanted it to be hard I would learn how to play guitar, this being a rock-star for lazy schmucks why should it be hard? If your good enough at Guitar Hero that you actually care about competition/need it to be harder than you either need a life or need to get laid .
Rock Band is awesome!!! I got 3 of my friends together to complete the band and do band world tour mode. The addition of drums and mic make it seem like a more complete game. It'll be hard going back to Guitar Hero.

Couldn't agree with you more SFGAm07. I acually got completely frustrated at the damn game on hard, that it is now sitting on the shelve collecting dust. It sucks the fun right out of it.

It's the ultimate party game hands down. Had a few friends over tonight and rocked out. Started with a little My Sharona, Juke Box Hero, and Fortunate Son, and finished the night with Bang a Gong, Don't fear the Reaper, and Won't get fooled again. After a few "beverages", I even took the mic, which on easy, and to my surprise, I knocked of a few 85% scores.
I agree cycamps, I can't see myself going back to Guitar Hero anytime soon.
If it walks like socialist, quacks like socialist, smells like a socialist, .... it's a socialist. Hope, and change we can believe in.
I've been playing this game all week. We've hooked up a projector screen in our dorms and we've been playing this for hours all week long (yes, lame, i know, but oh well)
To add to the song list...Ok Go: Here it Goes is on there....
As for the game itself, it's fairly similar to Guitar Hero when it comes to the Bass and Guitar sides of it with different songs. The Drums are RIDICULOUSELY hard...it's unbelievable...at least for me, some have caught on, but it's always the last picked for us. The singing is fun, the words are posted but it counts your pitch, not necessarily how accurate your wording is. Overall, it's an amazing group game, single player sucks though and the song choices weren't as great as Guitar Hero 3's choices.
Oh, and we've plugged in the Guitar Hero guitars and it worked....so i think that's another added bonus....
RIP: Trailblazer and Deja Vu...heck, even Alien Encounter
