I saw The Hills Have Eyes this weekend. I'm not a gore fan, which is probably, in a weird way, why I liked this movie so much. The excessive violence was actually creative enough to disturb me. Which is what I went to see it for. To be disturbed...and scared. Fun stuff. The ending was a little too long. They easily could have ended it a half hour earlier....of course, it then wouldn't be long enough. I think half of the show was watching my friend sitting next to me covering his eyes and ears while the scary parts happened.......good times.

If you've got the stomach for it, go see it. One of the best Horror flicks I've seen in a long time.

Finished watching Nightmare on Elm Street and I thought it was a great movie but the last 2 mins of the movie were confusing.

I saw 16 Blocks the other day. It was a fantastic movie, much better than I expected. Mos Def is becoming one of my favorite actors after this and Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. And even though it seems like Bruce Willis is always playing some sort of cop, he does it well.

Tomorrow evening I will be seeing V for Vendetta. I'll let you guys know how it is.

ZombieClown wrote:So yeah. I tend to agree. I just got back from seeing this movie and holy bleep was it good. Not as scary as I like, it was mainly a gore thing. But there were some really good suspenseful moments in there. And then there were moments were all heck just broke loose. I especially like he sequence that begins with the father and ends in the trailer. I won't say anything more than that, but check it out and you'll see what I mean. So much stuff is happening that it's crazy.

Yep this was the part that I almost had to leave during. I loved the movie and thought it was excellent but this sequence just had me feeling like my head was going to explode.

Um...okay. So, I know its been out for a while, but there's this tiny little theatre that plays the crud out of movies. So I finally broke down and saw The Fog, cause it was only $5, so why not? So...I had watched the original The Fog many times, and I know it's not really TOTALLY fair to compare the two together, but I figured since they were using the same name, and the same director was associated with it, and it was being remade by the same production company, I figured it would be like the original, only maybe a little more detailed storywise and better effects. Unfortunately, the movie made me want to punch myself in the face until I bleed from my nose holes. A lot. And hard. Reallly hard. I don't know what else to say aside from that. I wouldn't see it. Unless you like punching yourself in the face and bleeding from your nose holes...

^Yeah that was one of the most terrible movies I've seen in recent memory. Terrible story, and worse acting.

5 bucks for that movie? Damn my cheap theatre is only $2 everyday anytime except Tuesday when it's only $1!

The Chronicles of Narnia.

Had a free night so a friend and I went and saw this movie at the cheap theater by my house. (2 bucks)

Excellent movie. It was 2 hours and 15 minutes long, but didn't feel it at all. It was a great story that was told during the movie, and while there were some huge religious undertones to the movie it was a powerful ending to a kids movie. I liked it a lot.

Copper Mountain- sucks. Don't see it. It's an hour long ad for Club Med starring Jim Carrey (who is barely in it anyway).

I never understood the entire Enron scam, but after watching this, it all makes sense. Kay, and Skilling, what a couple of sleezeballs.

V For Vendetta

Not as I expected, at all. Not knowing really any background on this "super hero" I guess I was expecting a movie with a lot of action and a lot of death. I was sort of wrong, and sort of right. This action flick is set in the not to distant future of Great Britain which is now under control of an evil dictator hungry for power in a world where America is at civil war. This movie has so many topics in politics that are incorperated in the movie I couldn't keep up counting. I couldn't tell what they were trying to make fun of while making this movie, there were so many different topics.

Overall, I'm not going to give anymore spoilers because this is one you need to see yourself. It's a good movie overall and not too bad at 2 hours and 15 minutes. It will make you think about a lot of things, and had a few cool fighting scenes. Don't see it if all you want is action, because you will leave wanting more.

I've been quite busy actually...

Movie Theater:

16 Blocks: The first half hour of this movie just seemed like any other action movie, but then I started to like it more and more and ended up finding it to be a pretty good movie. Like mentioned earlier, not what I expected.

V for Vendetta: I saw this one at Universal's Citywalk just before I caught the plane home and found it to be a waste of time. I'm not much of a political person and that was basically the entire movie. A revenge against government, power, and all that other mumbo jumbo that my little mind couldn't understand. I didn't think it was horrible, just not my type of movie. There were also a few parts that reminded me of Schindler's List, which doesn't settle well on a vacation.

Inside Man: This one is the best of the theater movies I saw this weekend. It threw me for quite a few loops and it definitely wasn't what I thought it would be. The outcome was quite unexpected and I found it to be VERY GOOD!!!

On Video:

Yours, Mine, and Ours: I really love family movies, mainly because I can't wait to have kids, so naturally I really like this movie. It seemed like kind of a rip off of Cheaper by the Dozen, but it had a different background story and I ended up finding it very enjoyable.

Final Destination: I had rented the second one a while ago so that I wouldn't be completely lost when i saw the third one. So now i decided to see the only one i hadn't seen yet, which is the first one. Since I had just had a friend of mine hang herself, I found the first half hour VERY upsetting and discomforting. Overall, though, i didn't find this one to be as gruesome as the second two and since these movies are really only good because of their gruesome scenes, I wasn't really a fan of this one.

Scary Movie 3: I finally rented this one so i could see the whole thing and I found it to be HYSTERICAL!!! Can't wait til the forth one comes out.

I haven't had the time to update this lately, so we'll start where I left off last.

Take the Lead: Didn't go in thinking too highly of this one as I sat down in my seat for the sneak peak 2 weeks ago. I don't like Antonio Banderas very much, but he shined during this movie. The story line of teaching gangster's ballroom dancing doesn't sound very good, but it certainly was. There was a lot of heart in this movie and they went way beyond the dancing into a few people's daily lives. Not to mention the dancing itself was pretty incredible. It gets 3.5/5 from me.

Ice Age 2 If you liked the first, you'll love this one. Simple enough. I like how the writers didn't follow the path of most crappy sequels and just give it the same basic storyline as before. There was a totally different problem for each of the characters which made the movie interesting. There were also a few hilarious parts that everybody will like. 4/5

Inside Man It was cool, a little slow at times but had a great ending. Basically it's a bank robbery in the middle of the day at a Manhattan bank which has more than money inside of it that the bank robbers want. It had it's thrilling moments but a lot of slow dull parts that nobody really cares about. 2.5/5

Lucky Number Sleven A better version of Inside Man, minus the whole bank robbing thing. It's about crime bosses of NYC and getting revenge on them. It's a classic Bruce Willis film with a lot of trickery and stuff you really don't understand until the end of the film, overall, though I liked it. Nothing spectacular though. 4/5.

Look tomorrow for reviews on Scary Movie 4 and The Wild before supper time.

I just got back from seeing Scary Movie 4. I didn't think it was as good as the third one (which was the only other one i saw), but it was still pretty funny. Had some nice jokes against George Bush, Oprah, Dr. Phil (which he did himself), and, of course, Michael Jackson. The entire movie focused on War of the Worlds, but a great amount of time also went towards The Village, The Grudge, and Saw. Overall, i would give it a 3/5

And finally, last friday i saw Benchwarmers and I have to say that i will probably see it again soon. It's like putting Napolean Dynamite and Emperor Kusco into Happy Gilmore! Definitely a Happy Madison and Dennis Duncan film. 4/5

Scary movie 4: I can't say that I've really enjoyed the sequels very much, and this really fit into that same catagory. I liked the opening with Dr. Phil and Shaq, and I also thought the Brokeback mnt. part was really funny too, the rest was just blah boring not really funny crap. 2.5/5

The Wild: Just like Madagascar, minus the penquins. It had a decent story line and is a great family film, it will keep you entertained and they kept it to a quick 85 minutes which was a good length for the movie although it did end rather quickly. Not as funny as I'd hoped it was going to be, though. 3/5

Benchwarmers (I forgot I saw that 2 nights ago). I was sorta tired when I went to see this movie so it was pretty funny when I saw it. I know a lot of the humor in the movie was dumb and probably wouldn't be funny if i saw it again but I laughed a lot during the movie. I'm a big David Spade fan so that made me happy and I loved the Batmobile and NIghtrider. 3/5

just saw scary movie 3 as well, the best part was when they were making fun of shaquille o'neal's inability to shoot free throws...his ft percentage is so low and that made me laugh probably the hardest out of everything in the movie besides when dr. phil cuts off the wrong foot lol
