Because you probably need to gain muscle, I'd actually eat a little healthier than your average eater, but work out too. When I did that, I did lose around 10 pounds, but gained a few of them back in the past couple of days, due to gaining muscle mass.
"And that farm girl walked off with slippers off a dead woman? She must have been raised in a barn!" ~Wicked, an excellent musical
Defnitley gain muscle!! My fiance is 6'1 and 135 pounds. He is stick thin but has a six pack and huge arms so it evens out. If you are that skinny and no muscle see a doctor!! NOW!!
I'm sure a physician would point something out like this, especially a children's physician since they usually find a problem like this during childhood (hey, I'm almost 17 and still see the physician that I've been seeing since I was born ). It's their job. Unless you've been actually losing weight, there is nothing to worry about.
My bother growing up was a very tall kid (he is 32 now and 6'5) and had legs that looked like pencils. He could not gain weight no matter how hard he tried. His doctor actually put him on a special diet because he was constantly feeling weak. That is why I said to see a doctor.
Question.... how old are you. I think you mentioned above that you are not in high school yest correct? If that is the case and you are in say 7th or 8th grade then yes you probably are fine. You would just be one tall kid!
Have you ever addressed this with your doctor? I am the 1st to believe that with some doctors even if there is a issue at hand they don't address it with their patient... it's unfortunate. After swapping around 3 different doctors I finally found one that I like.

My cousin is 12 and he weighs only about 98 or 100 and soemthing pounds. I don't know his actual weight. But don't worry about it, I'm 14 and I weigh 172 pounds. Is that bad?
From being one of the class geeks in 8th grade to one of the most noticable ones in High School. Thats what you call "Steppin Yo Game Up!"
it might not be. It depends on how your genes are. He's still only twelve, maybe there's been no growth spurt type thing. It could be his family genes too. I don't think i'd worry.
