^Who cares if it fits into the skyline, It looks cool. And at least we'll hold the record then. The question is how long though.

I think its cool, i live in chicago and I dont think it would be such a bad idea. Then we'll hold another record. Chicago is the best!

I think a LOT of people care. The Chicago skyline is quite possibly the best in the world. It's balanced (three tall buildings spread out evenly) and a lot of the buildings match. The Chicago skyline is as much as the city as the buildings itself. Why ruin it over some silly record?

If you can't do something right, then don't do it at all.

This building belongs in Tokoyo, Singapore, or Abu Dhabie...not Chicago.

What do you mean by this? Do you mean them or me??? Why doesn't it belong in Chicago? If you go to the downtown area there are buildings with the glass windows similar to this. They just don't spiral. They wouldn't just build this building to hold a record they obviously need this building for a purpose.

Show me one building in Chicago with blue tinted glass? There are none. It just doesn't fit into the skyline.

And by my comment about If you can't do something ight, then don't do it at all. I was reffering to the architecs that designed that building. They should know it has no place in the Chicago skyline.

*edit, I'm talking about Sky Blue, not deep blue that looks almost black

1. I don't have pictures of these buildings. 2. They didn't capture my interest so I didn't take a picture of them. 3. I didn't have a camera. And 4. I also don't know the names of either 2 buildings. There is one by union station. There also is one that was under construction in November of 2004 near Union Station 2 or 3 blocks away from the other one. Thats when I saw the both of them. There's a time to move on to modern technology. In the next 100 years what do you think the buildings are going to look like? Even if it looks out of place it will eventually fit in. Also this isn't definate that it's going to be built anyway. And no they weren't deep blue they were a little darker than the proposed building.

They are still building modern skyscrapers that don't look 'futuristic'.

I just don't see what the big deal is about it looking really modern. All it does that looks kinda futuristic is the swirling. If it disn't swirl it would look boring then.
