The Official 2006 Chicago Bears Thread

A Off-Topic forum to discuss things that aren't related to the Amusement Park Industry.
Postby DejaVuGurl1203 on January 22nd, 2007, 12:53 am
^ Werd to that. I also thought it was a crazy game even though I only caught a couple of parts. Though I did check on my phone a few times for the score, everytime I'd check it was a freakin' tie.

This Superbowl is going to be VERY interesting.

And yes Benson is my man too! I mean he is so awesome the way he refuses to go down.

That game was sooo intense. The only second I missed of the game was when Vasher intercepted. Haha and Lovie getting dumped, now that made my day.

This year I have gotten soo into the Bears. I mean, I've had this Urlacher jersey for some years now and like never wore it, and this year I also got a Hester jersey and Muhammad jersey too... I'm hoping to get more, lol.

CHICAGO BEARS, BEAR DOWN!

I think the Bears are going to pull this one off. They played pretty tough last night, and the Colts pulled that game out by the skin of their teeth. I do like the Colts since I now live in the Indy area. They are a pretty classy team. However, I'll always be a Bears fan since I grew up in norhwest IN. As long as the Bears defense stays tough and Rex doesn't beat himself, I don't think Peyton and the Colts can win. Regardless, it should be a good game.

^ I totally agree.

The Colts really REALLY struggled to get that win.
Because all I remembered about that game was the Patriots would score. Then the Colts would around a half hour later, and you could tell, it was really hard for them. I remember one of the commentators saying, "The Colts are going to have a hard time gaining ANY yardage on the Patriots."
And from what I saw, that was true.

So with that being said I think the Bears defense will hold them off.
As long as I see the Bears that I saw the second half of yesterdays game...
We can win the Superbowl.

I honestly think this is going to be a tough game for the Bears, but I still have faith that they will pull through somehow. If they use that defense to their advantage like yesterday, then they will pull through.

Man, earlier in the season when both the Bears and Colts were still undefeated, I never imagined them both ending up in the Super Bowl. That's what makes this Super Bowl so interesting. I hated the Colts then. I still do, but not so much.

Man, the anticipation is going to kill me!

Well come on, it's playoff patriots. The bears didn't even beat the regular season patriots. The bears offense can't match the new founded Indy defense.

You guys won it in 1985, we haven't even touched a superbowl since we were the baltimore colts. Grossman is a medicore at best inconsisent QB. It's the Colts time.

Stop saying its Colts time, Bears were the most under-rated team entering the playoffs, all you hear was the Bears are going to lose to Seattle, Bears are going to lose to the Saints and have no chance. All they have been doing is proving people wrong all year. This sounds like something that happened a couple years ago in Chicago with the White Sox, no one said they had a chance, and they blew away the competition. I see this game being a close one and I believe in my Bears and see them prevailing over the highly overrated Payton Manning; and the Colts.

Jesus, spoken like a true fairweather bear fans.

ESPN repeatly said the Colts were to lose every game they won, Kansas City, Baltimore, and New England. I never cared about the NFC to watch the games. I thought Saints-Bears were evenly matched. So Next time you want to pull this over the odds story out of your ass make sure it's against someone that actually doubted the bears completely.

The Colts have been in the playoffs several times with an amazing season record only to be beaten by Pats or whatever. Manning does deserve this ring. To compare him to an over-hyped Grossman is something only an ignorant fairweather fan would do.

I can also admit if it was Colts vs San Diego, I doubt the colts would be in the superbowl. But the colts proved that they want this more than anyone in the AFC.

The white soxs were the overdogs in my opinion and I was glad they won. So I have no idea what MLB has to do with NFL but yeah.

Highly overrated? Are you retarded? Have you been bullshitted by that god awful division you call the NFC? Manning has set a number of impressive records and stats which is more than I can say for Mr. "Close my eyes and throw" Grossman.

Go back to watching NHL, until you can comeback with an actual logical argument instead of this "OVERCOMING THE ODDS" bullshit drivel.

Stickmassacre, go back to your little shack located in some smelly ass place in Indiana. You need to grow up, you have no idea what analogies are and have no logical reasoning. Also, you call yourself a football fan and don't watch both sides of the league? A true fan of the sport would not do that nor not even think to say that.

And yes, Peyton Manning is the most overrated quaterback in the league. He blames his team for his faults cause Mr. Manning is "flawless". He cant take the blame for any of his own faults. I'm not saying he is a bad quaterback, I'm saying he is overrated by the media. That whole Manning family is overrated, they just hype him up so he can be used as a symbol and icon for football. When that man stops complain about everything and learns to take his own faults, maybe he will become a better quaterback.

You can say all you want about Grossman, but the fact is there, he is 15-3 as the Bear's starter this year. He plays both amazing and bad, but to take his team to a Super Bowl his first complete season, that is a feat for any QB. You can say he sucks or the Bears won't win with him at QB, but as it goes in any sport, including football, you need a defense to win championships.

Finally, just the fact that you think my screenname has "hockey" in it doesnt mean I dont know anything about other sports. Hmm....let's see, I played every major sport and can probably still play in most of them if I wanted to, so dont you go questioning my knowledge of the sport. Lastly, it's going to be a great game, and wouldn't bother me that the Colts won, but you bashing everyone here and being a total dick, I hope that you sit at home watching the game and crying at the same time.

Actually, I like some of the players, it's their over-the-top fans that ruin them for me.

I think Benson, Cerdic Jones, Ricky Manning Jr are amazing players. I'm impressed by Gould as a FG kicker with what I've seen so far.

I think Grossman is highly overrated. He's not too bad though for actually playing his first whole season. When it's side toss or short/mid passes he's fairly good. When it's long passes or he's under pressure, it's like closes his eyes and hopes for the best. He hasn't impressed yet but he's better than a quarter of QBs in the league.

Tillman is 50/50. Some times he sucks sometimes he does what he's suppose to do.

I just have a pure hatred fo Urlachar. To me, he's just the biggest over rated, over hyped, over estimated piece of shit in my eyes. He's some fat ass that gets good position and claims it to be that's he fast. I loved it yesterday when Reggie Bush passed him and pointed at him like the slow worthless asshole that he is. It's a shame he gets credit for being such a powerhouse when he just tackles people harder than he needs to. WOW YOU JUST SLAMMED COLSTON INTO THE GROUND! POWERHOUSE! I hope you break your ankle you prick.

Berrian, I'm not sure. Like I said never really watched NFC except for playoffs (All of the Bears-Saints game, some of Bears-Seahawks). That was a impressive catch yesterday but it feels like the ball fell into him as he was falling. I hate to play the luck card but I really don't know much about this guy to say anymore.

It's funny because I was born and raised in Chicago. I just like the Colts. But thanks for making assumptions. I'm a fan of AFC, I watch NFC time to time. I just watch the AFC more being a Colts and they would be playing in the AFC champsionship so I should wonder about the AFC teams.

Again, everyone was calling the Colts to choke again. What are you going on about? Peyton has a habit of playing good seasonal and * up in the playoffs. I agree Peyton whines when he could fix his own faults. But he is right sometimes, His O-line does let people in too easily sometimes and you can't throw when you're sacked. So far, Manning has lived up to his hype. Eli needs some major work. The Giants rely on Tiki way too much.

I'm glad we agree about Grossman. I don't have any problems with him really. I'm just tired of hearing Grossman is the true star of the bears. He's not. You guys could have been undefeated this season with a fairly decent long passer QB. I addressed this in my other post.

Colts have found a defensive. No idea where. Before playoff it was almost non existence but now Indy D's have stepped up.

Yeah, I don't care about what sports you play at all. But thanks for sharing...for whatever purposes. Like I'm not suppose to guess you know lots about hockey based on a name like that. It's like a girl with whore written on her shirt.

Whoa whoa whoa?

Indy's Defense?? LMAO!!

Did you watch last nights game? Did you see among other things the Patriots wide receiver left wide open?

Or the 80 yard kick off return late in the 4th qtr?

Indy's special team defense is horrible, Devin Hester could exploit that in the grandous stage of all.

Also on the subject of ESPN's experts, they all perdicted the Saints would roll over the Bears, To that I say....

Yeah I mean those 4th quarter New England drives were just....just...nonexistance. Just like Caldwell catching skills. A INT on Brady of all QBs. Also an almost INT from Bob Sanders, who is partly injuried with a bad knee.

Oh yeah btw, nice first saints fumble recovery on the ball. What? Did the ball get like 25 yards before the SAINTS recovered it back? How the hell the saints got it back is beyond me.

Yeah I guess it sucks to have the AFC champsionship be the best playoff game even probably better this years superbowl.

It's a shame that the Colts are going stop the hype. And when the game ends at a blowout of 41-10. You guys can feel free to superbowl shuffle your fairweather asses into the corner to cry.

Ummm..We beat the patriots. Have you? No? Oh okay. Shut the hell up then. Thanks.

You are mildly retarded if you can compare the Saints to the Patriots.

It was a typo. Glad to see you have to point out minor mistakes when you're out of agruements.

I'm making an ass out of myself? I'm glad I'm not a bears fan so I don't have to be group with fairweather fans with debating skills of a grade schooler.

The Colts had to pull a miracle out there ass to beat the Patriots, and lets face it, if the Patriots had even 2 minutes on the clock Brady would have beaten the Colts.

Period.

If you mean amazing talent and ability that gave them great seasonal records with a QB with incredible stats by miracle. Then yes you're right.

I doubt it. Even with the one minute Brady had enough time but Indy was too much.

Speaking of pulling things out of your ass...predictions of what? What the hell are you even talking about?
