Hopefully Galvan and Aero will hve more on the weather. There are tornado warnings. They say theres strong rotation too. So be careful if your going out.
Well its just starting to slow down. Its was freakin crazy. I did spot a funnel cloud and the sirens were going off. It got black out then it poured like Ive never seen before. Its flooded around here. Water was coming up from the sewer in the garage. I have a few pics that I'll post later or tomorrow.
A little too late, you guys, I was in Grant Park!! I was just mindin my own business sketching for my architecture class and before you know it...FUNNEL CLOUDS!! However, I did get back in record time as you can probably see. I guess no one wanted to ride the els downtown like i did . Still, pretty scary and soaking! It's moved over lake michigan now.... (keep in mind i haven't watched the weather, this is just what i physically saw)

That you know of. If someone died they probably wouldn't be coming onto the fourms posting that they died or whatever but I highly highly dout that anyone did. Anyway it just rained here for alittle bit.
Plainfield? It didn't even pour here. We got nothing witch is why I'm actually alittle dissapointed because I love storms. All it did was like rain for maybe not even 30 mintues it was alittle windy but nothing astonishing. Hey, trust me I know, remeber I live here.
To be quite honest, the storm wasn't all that great. It was dangerous with the funnels, but other than large amounts of rain, it didn't have anything else. No lightning, thunder, nothin....or at least in Downtown Chicago.

More Severe Weather is possible today as a major storm system continues to move East...
While I think most of the Severe Storms will stay well to the south, there is still a Slight Risk of Severe Weather in the immedate Chicagoland Area.
This is the current surface map (as of 940 central time) Ahead of the low there is warm moist air being brought in from the Gulf of Mexico, this is the reason why Temperatures have been in the 70s vs. The overnight lows in the upper 30s this week. Hence the sticky feeling you'll feel outside anyway, As the cooler air tries to come into our area, Thunderstorms develop ahead of the approaching Low.
Here is the Storm Prediction Center's Severe Weather Outlook.
yeah, i was driving home when it was pouring like hell. I turned into Stradford Square Mall, and was stranded there for 1 1/2 hours because they didn't want anyone to leave. I was told by an employee of the Picture Place that there was hail, and her car was shaking and everything...sounds bad.
